I've had to cancel a couple things due to restrictions. So first i'll take back that 3 weeks in the UK and 2 canceled concerts.

1) Agree with Orch.
2) Oh, Europe, when will I ever see you again?
3) Agree with Orch. I thought that should be reiterated.

I just want a no mask, free to go where you want society again. You know, like if we were in America or something.

P.S.—this is not an anti-mask comment, I’m all about protecting the weak and limiting travel for awhile, but I am becoming increasingly annoyed at the tyrannical politicians who are seizing this as an opportunity for control and power. My inner-Revolutionary-War-Guy is starting to get angry. :)

I'm curious about this statement because I've heard it from others and I don't quite get it.

Is the concern that the tyrannical politicians will always make us wear masks or observe social distancing guidelines? That doesn't make sense to me because what would be the upside of that for politicians?

I am not trying to stir a political hornet's nest - I genuinely don't understand the concern.

As far as what I'm looking forward to once we get back to a more normal state... pretty much what we talked about yesterday. Going to a baseball or hockey game. Having a tailgate party with lots of friends coming and going - sharing food without worry of infection. Hugging and kissing family and friends without worry of infection. A concert would be nice, too.

OMG hugs. Yes.

I miss trips to the playground, friends, family and social interaction in general.

I have left the house 8 times in the last 5 months and have only seen doctors and my husband and kid in person all that time. I'm exhausted.

^oh dear god Aussie. 💜

I’m going to a concert. A big fat crowded fucking sweaty crunchy concert.
Work, work would be nice. Miss my lunch crew.
And a meeting. Them twelve steps ain’t quite the same when read through a zoom app.
An orgy has definite appeal.
Not necessarily in that order.

Definitely a concert- first Big Thing. And I’m traveling for it. On a big ass jet plane. And staying in a huuuge hotel before and after the show.

Looking up concerts as we speak.
One king bed hotel room that’s top notch in breakfast room service.
Oh yes!

Our local theater is open. Reduced seating capacity and tickets pre-sold online. It's a small venue and easily managed.

I tried explaining my position and it was a spaghetti-mess of words.
So I’ll leave it to J-Mad because he said it all elegant and shit:

“I believe there are more instances of the abridgement of freedom of the people by gradual and silent encroachments by those in power than by violent and sudden usurpations.“

James Madison

(It’s not about the masks)

What’s the first post-covid live group event you fantasize about attending?

Definitely concerts for me. Looking forward to my postponed Live, Bush and STP concert and hoping PJ resume plans for their world tour.
Already been to a couple of reduced numbers football games but do look forward to some packed house games in the near future.

Like not even five stars.
Make it six!
Penthouse suite!
I feel some credit card debt comin on!
:D

Floor to ceiling windows are a must.
Crepes gotta be on the menu.
Espresso bar in the room with fresh table cream.
You know I like my fancy chocolates too.
Maaaaybeeee some mountains? ☺️

I get that. I guess I was looking at it in too much of a micro way re: masks.

I 100% agree with J-Mad. But I get way more freaked out about how much power the gov't has to be doing surveillance on all of us and how willingly people hand over their right to privacy because they want an app on their phone or a gadget that listens to them so it makes it easier to play music or re-order toilet paper or a tv that has the ability to watch and listen to everything going on in your house.

I appreciate you answering me and being cool about it. You're pretty rad.

If you want to get really freaked out you have to ask which govt we are giving our privacy to. Personally, I hope they have video of me masturbating. They should have to watch that as punishment for spying. :D

You're Rad too. Like, J-Mad Rad. :)

Don't threaten me with a good time. ;)

p.s. That's why I didn't specify a gov't. And part of the reason why I have bouts of insomnia. And why I dream of an off-grid apocalypse compound.
