Now that the Justice Department's IG has announced an investigation into the use of force by federal law enforcement officers in Portland and Washington, D.C., how long do you think Mike Horowitz will stay in his current capacity?

Vote the poll/pole/Pole/poal.

Vote the poll/pole/Pole/poal.

Nothing will happen to him. There was no wrong doing.

Doesn't matter. He's not showing absolute loyalty to Trump. He's a dead man walking.

He did soft peddle his investigation into the FBI collusion investigation. It took declassification of complex footnotes full of hidden references to coded redactions and withering bureaucratize to get close to the bottom of it. To his credit he did make criminal referrals and for the most part was thorough. He did uncover a slew of gross violations of the FISA Act that resulted in calls for its removal and/or amendment. 29 out of 29 randomly picked cases all contained major violations of law and process. The fact is these warrants were being rubber stamped by all involved including some of the judges, with zero apparent oversight from the Chief Justice of the United States who had a duty to do so.

I keep having this notion that Bill Barr is going to see the writing on the wall one of these days soon and start working on covering his own ass rather than Trump's. He's done a couple of moves in this direction already. So, I don't know about another IG being kicked. We getting close enough to the election that it could just be sloooowww tracked.

Linick was canned shortly after filing his now classified report on Trump pushing Woody Johnson to get the British Open switched to Trump’s course. That took less than a month. Therefore, I’m going with a week.

5 votes of which 3 are of the 'who are they' variety.

Laurel - can we get an EO on alts once and for all??????????????????????????

I keep thinking you're going to come out of your CNN induced coma and join the "real" world, but you keep proving me wrong.:(

That's bullshit.

And look to have Trump stonewall any requests for testimony or interviews with relevant personnel as well as a slew of documents to suddenly become classified.

The options were created to reenforce a bias...

About as long as it takes Trump to go from saying he is a "great guy" to "I don't know him" "never meet him".

That's bullshit.

What about that is bs?

Linick was cleared of any wrong doing as far a leaks go. He did investing Trump pushing Johnson to have the British Open moved to Trump’s course, and the results of that investigation are now marked classified. That on top of the probes into Pompeo.

Sounds like bullshit. If it is classified. how do you know what's in it, or if it really exists? You and every left wing news outlet in the US and the World thought the Russian collusion conspiracy existed in the Trump Campaign, it didn't. They and you thought the President committed obstruction of justice, he didn't. You thought he committed crimes in Ukraine, he didn't. It was the other way around, the Democrats did. You tried to remove the President from office, first in a deep state conspiracy, then a phony impeachment, both failed. Now it's a golf course in Scotland. This from the British according to NBC:

“The previous Secretary of State for Scotland had an introductory meeting with the US Ambassador in early 2018," the U.K.'s Scotland Office said in a statement. "A number of issues were discussed, reflecting the close cultural and economic ties between Scotland and the USA. Mr. Johnson made no request ... regarding the British Open or any other sporting event.”

A White House official told NBC News that the president had never spoken to Johnson about such a request. Trump himself denied having done so when asked about it during a White House briefing on Thursday. "I never spoke to Woody Johnson about Turnberry. It is a highly respected course, one of the best in the world," he said.

Trump repeatedly promoted his two golf properties in Scotland and one in Ireland for tournaments before he was elected president.

Linick was just another deep state operative trying to go after Trump. His accusations about Pompeo came from the office of Senator Bob Menendez of whom the Secretary of State made the following observation:

“You see these stories that have been leaked to you all, right? To the press. This is all coming through the office of Senator Menendez,” Pompeo said. “I don’t get my ethics guidance from a man who was criminally prosecuted. Case Number 15-155, in New Jersey Federal District Court. A man for whom his Senate colleagues, bipartisan, said, basically that he was taking bribes. That’s not someone who I look to for ethics guidance.”

Just another angry corrupt Democrat trying to bring down Trump and his officials.

PS: Contrary to popular Congressional thought, the President has every right under the Constitution to fire an IG without the approval or notification to Congress. He is a federal employee who theoretically reports to Congress which in itself is a distortion of the Separation of Powers and constitutionally suspect, but a federal employee nonetheless subordinate to the President.

Did you even read the article you linked to? 🙊

WASHINGTON — The U.S. ambassador to the United Kingdom, Robert "Woody" Johnson, told multiple colleagues at the U.S. Embassy in London that President Donald Trump had asked him to see whether the British government could help get the British Open played at his Turnberry golf course in Scotland, a former State Department official with firsthand knowledge told NBC News.

The former official said the ambassador’s deputy twice told him not to make the request because it would be unethical but that Johnson raised the issue with the British official responsible for Scotland during a meeting in 2018 anyway. The former official added that it was a waste of political capital because the British government has “zero influence” on where the tournament is played, a decision that lies with the British equivalent of the PGA.

A British official told The Times that the ambassador “made no request” regarding the British Open. The former U.S. official said there was no formal “request” — that Johnson was “floating the idea” at the president’s behest.

The State Department's inspector general's office began formally looking into allegations in October, following a routine inspection visit to the embassy. The report was completed and marked classified as of May; an unclassified version has yet to be released.
