Your Pen-name

Hmmm.... if you can't tell, then maybe you haven't read enough Sci-Fi. If you still can't figure it out, read Number of the Beast by Robert A. Heinlein.

Pen Name

I had watched an anime series called Chobits. The series centers a boy named Hideki who finds an early full sized model robot discarded in the trash. He figures that the on/off switch is in the vagina, and has to train the robot. He later figure out that having sex with the robot will cause it to lose all his efforts to train the robot by wiping out it’s memory and developed personality.

Hideki was struggling to get into college, attending cram school to attempt to pass college entrance exams. I was struggling with a new job, after working for twenty years. I felt like an older version of Hideki.

I'm familiar.

That book was the beginning of the end for RAH, in my view.

Warmaker

Davion2308 is an old Yahoo email account I had 20+ years ago. The Davion is from the MechWarrior series from House Davion and I always liked those guys. The 2308 is the last four digits of my parents' phone number from the old house I grew up in.

There's nothing ground-breaking here and I use other, more relevant names for my online presence.

Quill_Bitch

It's part of a line (sort of) written by parker77:

...ink up your quills, bitches
bring ya verse to the thread...

It reached out and grabbed me, and that was that.

RAH is one of those acquired tastes. I also, at least for me, see him as a product of whenever you read him. When I was much younger I was a big fan, as I've grown older and looked back a lot of his stuff has become more 'meh' to me.

I’ve been using mine since the days of dial-up modems.

Why ‘Javahead’? Just monitor my coffee consumption for a bit and it becomes very clear. All hail the black ichor of the gods!

My first published story was just intended for my wife. I wanted to try and convey to her how amazing being with her was for me, by writing my perspective of a particularly enjoyable evening. She loved it, and then she told me I should post it to “that site”. I am an extremely lucky man married to a perfect woman. Any creative process is therefore run through the perspective of a Happy Spouse.

It's a name I developed years ago to use online, so I would just have one name versus many different ones for whereever. No it has nothing to do with the joys of florida or tennesee. I liked the word Rhapsody, added a J. to it because of my real first name, was playing Mortal Kombat one day and there it was; Jax. A couple years ago I added the middle name; Lazzo, to complete it.

Thinking about what either Keith or Lovecraft said a long time ago about having different pen names, so it does't look like your flooding the market, I came up with another pen name for my poetry and another for erotica, if I can publish either. I don't want this name associated with either, if anything not porn I write takes off.

When I came up with my user name, I thought to myself "I am just one author, out of many."

My introduction to fiction, and what sparked my love of reading, was old westerns by Zane Grey and Louis L'amour. Lance Kilkenny was a recurring character in several of Louis L'amour's novels. I always liked the character and the name so LKilkenny it was.
