You can get some surprisingly good food in gas stations. One near me makes a fantastic fried pork chop.

I do like Popeye's chicken, though if I'm doing fast-food spicy chicken, I'm more likely to go with Bojangles. None of the gas stations around here do spicy chicken, or I'd check them out, too

I don't do 'fast food' or gas station food.

The closest I come is grocery store fried chicken and I don't do that very often due to the excess breading. Sometimes their 'whole rotisserie chicken' which seems closer in size to a pigeon.

It seems I have a tolerance for fireworks going off during the weekend of the 4th. We’ll see if it extends beyond that. I’m thinking it won’t. The mutt seems to handle it better tucked under middle munchkin’s bed. There is definitely less panting and shaking. The louder they get, the further back she goes.

They were nonstop here, as well. I guess everyone decided to do their own shows nightly for weeks since the official ones were all canceled.

There was a gas station in Mt View (a part of my town) that supposedly had great fried chicken. I never got to sample it as they discontinued the chicken before I made it over that way. Locally, The Lucky Wishbone or Roscoes makes the best fried chicken. I do like the taste of the spicy chicken from the local Popeyes, but it's really greasy.

his ma'am fancied chicken and where it was so damned hot H thought he'd save me the heat of cooking it. the crispy coating was tasty (better cold this morning) but the chicken wasn't nearly as juicy and tender as the stuff i cook.
when i worked at the lottery places, our kitchens there made THE best tenders either of us have ever tasted. man, they were absolutely awesome and way too moreish.

so far about the only thing i like about the new cat is how every time i've actually caught her not hiding and said "hey, trixie" to her she's given me a look that says "do i fucking know you?" completely with a little backwards head movement like she's trying to get a better look before she runs away.
