Firstly. Anyone who dies. That's a sad thing. Most will have nearest and dearest who will be sad.
Corvd-19 is a flu.
Lots of people die every year from normal flu's.
It does seem like more people will die from a widespread covid-19 infection than say influenza A (but currently estimates would still be measured in thousands (tens or hundreds))
Currently in Britain not many people are diagnosed with covid-19 (that number is going to rise quickly)
SO
if you currently feel like shit. YOU HAVE FLU! no you are not going to die from it.
Most people are not going to die.
Newspapers and news websites are in the business OF MAKING MONEY.
(This will probably change when infection rates increase)
Then. Maybe. You'll have Covid-19.
Still you almost certainly will not be one of the unlucky ones to die.
Stay home. Reduce your temperature. Watch Seinfeld. Drink whisky. (Buy your own fucking whisky).

If you are unlucky enough to become ill (possibly) around 10% will need significant medical assistance. (i.e. ITU/HDU)
This country (the UK) has consistently voted for a government (the Tory's) over the last 10 years that have reduced funding to 1% (with year on year increase in demand of 4%)
I can bore you with comparison spending of Germany/France and historical spending (Thatcher/ Major and Blair/Brown years) but these are known Facts.
Any person (not exclusively medical folk) will tell you that our healthcare is in the predicament it's in because of known decisions. These decisions were politically taken and are ideological.
Even if the system (i.e. waiting lists, elective surgery etc) was as well funded as at the end of Gordon Brown's tenure we'd struggle to treat this extra 10% of cases because lots of people are already taking up those beds with all manor of other illnesses.
Those decisions are coming home to roost.
(I really hope we all get through this)

I was in my local supermarket yesterday. Plenty of loo roll to be had, provided you didn't want their own label. People seem to stockpiling the cheap stuff....

The US is suspending flights out to or in from Europe for 30 days.
Would have been nice if they had included Japan and Singapore so we could get that ticket refunded.
