Republicans are quite simply un-American

So no comment then on your claim that antifa is not a terrorist organisation?

Since they're only violent with people who are first violent against them, no.
Besides, even if they are (reasonable people could disagree about exact definitions), the point is that the SPLC figures referred only to the Klan. There is absolutely no basis for your claim that those numbers also include a movement dedicated to opposing them - in fact, the whole argument is absurd.

Are you even capable of responding to a question without deflecting it into a different topic?

Antifa without any question whatsoever employs terrorist tactics and strategies. I cited one such incident above but there are hundreds of similar incidents.

The KKK is ALSO a terrorist organisation, just not a particularly effective one, at least in the past 40 or 50 years. They once were as big a problem as antifa is now, or worse.

Give it a half century and the average person will answer "anti what? Never heard of it." when asked about it.

Asks the guy who read an article about Klan membership numbers and concluded that they were really talking about Antifa. Ermmmmkayyy...

Not actually what I said. But you know that, of course.

Is antifa a terrorist organisation in your opinion?

So now anti-fascist = fascist. Your logic is unimpeachable as always.

Claiming to be anti-fascist doesn't necessarily make it so nor does it prevent them from behaving in fascistic ways themselves.

But hey don't let that ruin your support of anti-American terrorist. :D

Exactly what you said, and you know that:

The newspaper article was about Klan membership numbers. It made no mention whatsoever of Antifa. You brought Antifa up out of nowhere.

Go back and read my words.

I did. Whatever point you think you made, well, you didn't. The issue was Klan membership. You brought up Antifa out of nowhere.

That you missed a point isn't especially surprising. There was no issue. Leather made a comment. I made a comment. You misunderstood everything. That's sort of your thing.

I didn't misunderstand anything. Leather posted a link that shows Klan activity has been on the rise, you wanted to quibble about numbers and you invented the possibility that the numbers in question "probably includes Antifa" when there was and is literally no evidence of that. If you were trying to make some other point, you failed. It's that simple.

I pointed out that Leather's own article disputed the whacko they were interviewing and then made an oped comment. That had nothing to do with the SPLC report. Try to follow.

The numbers you were disputing were from the SPLC. You said so yourself. But the point is, that article was talking about Klan membership numbers, end of story. Nothing to do with Antifa.

I can see you didn't actually read Leather's article.

As for antifa, you really have to stop insisting I read them from SPLC's report.

I said that there is no meaningful distinction between the KKK and antifa. Or ISIS for that matter.

They are fundamentally the same: Terrorists.

Also known as the stuff dogs leave behind and we scoop up in little biodegradable bags to be thrown away.

I did, from start to finish.

That's not what I said. What I said was that you brought Antifa up out of nowhere, and that is completely true.

Perhaps, but Leather's article wasn't about ISIS or Antifa. It was about the KKK.

Do they speak English in Australia?

Please review the thread. You either haven't actually read it or haven't comprehended it.

But according to the ADL, which has been tracking Klan groups since at least 2000, there has been a slight uptick in activity in the past year. Approximately 30 KKK groups were active over the course of 2016 – a decrease from the year before. That number has since risen to 40.

Now, what part of that don't YOU understand? The article referred to the KKK only, not to any other terrorist group.

Which has nothing to do with what I said. Look, if you can't be bothered to read what you're commenting about, I don't know how I can help you.

Communicating poorly and then acting smug when you're misunderstood isn't cleverness.

I'll dumb down the language for you next time.

Btw, YOU of all people complaining about conversation drift is absolutely hilarious.

It's an AntiFa supporting terrorist who hates the USA.

Best to just walk away and wait for the war to start.

Once upon a time, Ayn Rand-reading, red-baiting Republicans denounced Soviet Russia as an evil superpower intent on destroying the American way of life.
My, how things have changed.

The Grand Old Party has quietly become the pro-Russia party — and not only because the party’s standard-bearer seems peculiarly enamored of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The Republicans are now spouting Russian propaganda and blocking election security bills that would help defend against Russian meddling in future U.S. elections. The NRA has been caught laundering Russian money and then giving it to Republicans lawmakers.

Intelligence officials informed members of the House of Representatives that Russia is interfering in the 2020 campaign to try to get Trump re-elected, mirroring the country’s meddling in the 2016 race.

Rather than take actions to protect America from Russian interference, the Republicans have attacked American intelligence officials for daring to brief Congress on the Russian threat in the first place. Apparently speaking ill of Russia is a sin that the Republican Party of today will not tolerate.

Yea, they gave up the "progressive" economy that starved/murdered tens of millions in favor of a market economy.

Because capitalism is better.....

Now it's the (D)'s like you are trying to Mao the USA, intent on destroying the American way of life.
