The Living Works of Art Challenge II - Female Body Edition

Pretty sure I haven’t missed any of these since the thread began.
So I had to take a shot at it. No heels in my life...

You and your pic fits perfect among all the others!
A very beautiful pic!

You'll have to forgive me about the shoes. I don't wear heels at all, so I don't own any to match the picture. I used the only ones that have even the slightest of heels to them.

With and without the painting filter. :)

Nothing to forgive... looking great!!!

Perhaps not so dainty looking.

Beautiful interpretation Mara. Who needs heels? I didn't notice until the second or third time I looked. Maybe the fifth...

Nice sidestep, though. So I’ll reiterate that I look forward to when you post your interpretation of the pose. Thank you for reviving the thread [Again!].

That is really lovely. I And you have boots on but no knickers. What happened? Were they even on in the first place?

I'll join in, 'cept this now has to be called: Strippin' Off Me Long Johns After Football Practice.

No bare arse. I mean, I wouldn't wear my underpants over thermal long johns. What do think I am? Some sort of super hero?

BTW. It was minus 8 Celsius when I got home; damn right I kept warm.

Edit: Just realised this is the Female Body version. I guess there's a male version somewhere (found it). I'll delete this if it you want.

Love it!

Extraordinary, Tali, you really nailed it. With the painting filter it could be in a gallery... Beautiful.

This was harder than I expected. It's not quite the result I wanted. But maybe it's good enough.

That's gorgeous too, Sally. Way more than good enough, it's really lovely.

Mara! Wonderful to see you. And a wonderful rendition, you look very fine, very fine indeed.

I had been suffering from serious withdrawal. The sight of you has calmed my nerves...but intensified my desire for more of you. :rose::kiss::heart::devil:

Thank you. You’re right about the knickers in my case. As to the subject of the painting, I’m wondering more about why in the world one leg is completely clothed in stocking and shoe. I mean, have you ever seen a woman dress that way? In what world wouldn’t both shoes go on last? At 65, I’ve had plenty of opportunities to observe, and it just feels wrong. Maybe undressing — but even so, who wouldn’t kick off both shoes before dealing with the stockings?

Yes, I try to get into character and consider motivation.:D Laughing at myself... In this case, it seemed more about the painter than the model. The pose doesn’t feel to me like a model naturally demonstrating either rolling those stockings up or down while dressing or undressing. Perhaps he set up this pose to say something about equanimity in the midst of unbalance. Whether or not that was Busschere’s intention, that was my intention for my photo. And I was UNrolling and UNdressing.

Part of the fun for me is the backstories, so forgive me babbling on this way.

Yay! Lovely rendition Mara.

Thanks, Icy. This place has a powerful hold on us. :rose::kiss:

Mara! Wonderful to see you. And a wonderful rendition, you look very fine, very fine indeed.

Thanks so much, Numi.

No heels, no clothes, so no problem--in fact, beautifully posed and framed.

Thanks m’dear. Please give your lady a big hug from me.

Awww, sweetie — thanks for the laughter.
All those threads full of photos I left up just don’t compare to daily check-ins, eh? 😘

Babble on.:D I always have a backstory to my pics. "equanimity in the midst of unbalance" I like that. There's a suppleness and poise required for that pose. And it's a vulnerable stance as well, so best to keep a boot on for a spin and kick. ;) Definitely a pose where the painter is considering balance and the movement of the body. :rose:

"Maybe undressing — but even so, who wouldn’t kick off both shoes before dealing with the stockings?" Now I'm thinking about the sex scene in Don't Look Now where the editing plays with time. Not a bad scene to think of but the film was...(shudders.)

I checked your picture again (and again). I agree: undressing. One shoe is on because the floor is cold. The painter insists on a nude model, so she complies, suffering for his art.

Oh, and you're hilarious. Sixty-five! Ha! Not that backside...
