I wasn't cycling anything, I was wasted, GP said viral infection and go rest... not much else I could do....

Pissing down and gritting seems a contradictory waste of tax payers money!

Pissing down here too, shame... I have to stay indoors and watch rugby :)

It stopped raining and got cold enough to freeze. 🤷🏻*♀️
How good was that though?!

Really, freezing? Its just been wet all through night and day now for 24 hours...

How good? Well I got nervous when a second one was disallowed and thought it might not be our day, but they were absolutely the best team on the pitch, saying something against the ABs... just need to drop a line to my mate in Nelson... not Lancs but South Island!! #crowingitovertheABs??

I’ve had a couple of mornings where I’ve had to defrost the car for work.
I love this time of year, it makes me so happy 😊

Anyone else spend all day today thinking it’s not realllly 10am, it’s 11.....?!

Either way I’m being terribly lazy and need a rocket up me arse.

No, I'm the other way round. My watch and this laptop stay on GMT permanently. Unfortunately, the 'phone forces BST in the summer and there's no option - I've looked.

I agree, one of the things I live about the UK is that we have seasons and each one has its amazing moments. The sunrise on two consecutive mornings last week was glorious and the quiet lanes I ride to work are full of trees changing colour, low light casting amazing shadows... fab!

Ironically, my car has been running on the ‘wrong’ time. Had it in at the garage last week and they helpfully corrected it. It’s incorrect again now.

That sounds beautiful, Lucy!

Now . . . . that's a quaint little town, you could have done worse, like Spalding for example!

I visited Spalding a couple of years ago and there are some nice bits such as the church and the Ayscoughfee Hall which I recall had quite a nice cafe nearby, all not far from the Welland. Unfortunately much of the town across the river struck me as a bit of a dive. It was a shame really as my late uncle began his teaching career there back in the Fifties and an idea had formed in my mind that it was the epitome of idyllic rural charm. Stamford, also on the Welland, is lovely though and well worth a visit. Although lunch is a little beyond my budget, I almost always have morning coffee or afternoon tea at, ahem, the George.

Stamford is possibly one of the better towns in South Lincolnshire, maybe nicer because most of the old houses are built with Ketton Stone, and yes, it is a bit on the expensive side.

Thanks everyone...had a fab birthday and an even better halloween, now sunbathing on the nude terrace at our hotel...it's scorching hot, so I'm being sensible and staying under a parasol...no burnt nipples for me today! :D
