When it comes to toliet hyigene, we are a bit behind. :D
Although, more and more houses in Montreal do have them.

I hope the snow is all melted before I arrive in town. It’s too early in the year to deal with snow.

Ah yes, I am on a different island.
It is nasty, street signs are flying, trees are falling, cars are flipping. Bridges are closing.

Eek. Stay safe. I hope your power stays on as well. It’s not fun having no heat when the temps are low and the wind is howling.

Thank goodness for abundant, reliable, affordable, easily-dispatched energy (a/k/a fossil fuels).

Without them, millions and millions of people would be freezing in the dark.

Did you get a reach-around from Big Oil for that?

Actually, most of Q-bec is renewable.
They have damned up every river possible for hydro-electric.

Hydro-Québec is a well-known supplier of hydroelectric power. That's why Alcan Aluminium located so many of its aluminium smelting operations there.

🙊 Do you not understand how the majority of furnaces work?

wood burners??? or coal?

I don't know any furnace that isn't fossil fuel.

a couple electric ones but few and far between

True. Most still need electricity to deliver heat. That was my point. Try said without fossil fuel millions and millions would be freezing in the dark.

So they would be freezing with the lights on?:D:D:D

Sorry, its the engineer in me coming out:D:rolleyes::)

Poor Charlie "Aglaopheme" Brown seems to be ignorant of the part fossil fuels play in the generation of electricity, almost like she thinks electricity grows on the wires she sees. Of course, such disingenuous, emotionally hyperbolic and hysterical slanters are also the ones who whine the loudest about the most efficient source man currently knows of to produce power, and electricity specifically: nuclear.

What does any of that have to do with heating your house when the power goes out?

Totally subtract fossil fuels from the generation of electricity and the vast majority of homes wouldn't even have any electricity to ever be "out". You're just a spoiled cunt who deems electricity outage something negative when it's actually a benevolent luxury only temporarily denied.

Eyer seems a bit bothered this morning.

Thoughts and prayers. :D

Thank you! 500,000 without power. So far so good here! As long as the power doesn't go out half way through my dentist appointment!
Boy o boy...you're about as happy as Adrina

Good luck kiddo...just hope for snow so the trails open soon
No to the snow! I should have moved to a tropical island, if I wanted the hurricane experience.

F-Hydro Quebec, my bill just increased $70.
