Since it’s Halloween (BOO, fuckers), there are lots of those haunted houses around the place. There is this story that’s going viral about this haunted house called McKamey Manor. It was in San Diego original but now it’s in TN.

Well, this thing isn’t just your ordinary Haunted House. You get $20k if you can complete it. It can last up to 8 hrs. You have to have a medical evaluation, psych evaluation and sign a massive waiver before you can go through it. At first, I thought, “I’m pretty grounded in reality (especially regarding my ego), I could handle anything that cannot harm you.”

Except, apparently they can potentially harm you a bit. But, it seems to be more a torture chamber than a haunted house. Not one person has completed it yet. It’s free; all you have to do is bring dog food that they donate to a shelter.

Also, I saw roaches on one of the clips CRAWLING IN SOMEONE’S MOUTH and I was immediately aware that I could never be part of this shit. Not that I was planning on it, but damn.

I feel like the creator is likely someone in the BDSM forum. He is an ex military guy who claims to be versed in simulated torture techniques. They find out things that scare you specifically and incorporate those into the experience. I feel like my experience would have roaches and nude pics of Lena Dunham everywhere. I want to cry just thinking about it.

Has anyone else seen this? What the fuck is wrong with people? Why would anyone subject themselves to this? I mean, some people listen to Katy Perry. And that’s mental. But I think you could recover from that. This shit seems like it would stick with you.

I just heard about this place a couple of days ago - the local radio station was talking about it. A couple of people called in who had been there and attempted it. They both said it was ungodly horrific and they quit fairly early into it. I guess there's a 40 page consent agreement that you have to sign that gives them the ability to legally hurt you.

Torture isn't fun. And I think this sick fuck just tortures people until they quit. There's no time limit like "I have to endure 1 hour of this and then it'll be over." Apparently they can keep you there for as long as it takes.

I legit got lost in a corn maze once and it was terrifying. So, fuck no.

They can truly hurt you. The consent for supposedly says they can cut your hair, pull your fingernails and pull out your teeth, which just seems bizarre. They do make you vomit and they force it back into your mouth.
The only person who could survive this is a POW.

I can’t imagine they would actually do that. But, one girl came out with an eyebrow shaved and her hair cut in something I read. Another girl claimed to have roach bites (OMG) and she had bruises.

I though pfft yeah I can do that. I so through haunted houses, am the leader through it and am not phased other than to appreciate the creative spirit. I'm stubborn as a bull and get even more so if you tell me I cant do something. But I just watched the trailer and now I'm not at all sure. Especially the hurting and putting things in my mouth. That took the wind out of my sails quite a bit.

I’ve never been scared of a haunted house. Like, someone might jump out and spook me. But that’s just being startled. This stuff is terrifying. Like, unbelievable.

Many people don’t even make it past the waiver. Like, during that process, the mind games start. And, in one of the houses, he’s never had a person make it to get the clock started.
