Well, I have never flashed a trucker from a Jeep. I, actually, have never been in a Jeep. Nts, add test drive Jeep and flash trucker from aformentioned Jeep to the bucket list.

You live in East Bumblefuck Redneck Florida and you've never been in a Jeep? You need to get out more, kid.
Hum, maybe that is my husband's problem. In my defense, it takes all my power not to unfriend him from social media. I would if it didn't seem so wrong, well that and sometimes he posts a cute picture of the kid, but, overall, his social shares are like reading the GB.

I feel your pain. I have never properly read anything on the GB. I just see the thread titles on my way here and that is enough.

Unless that's a clever plan to keep people away, and it's really all about rainbows and unicorns. Like my social media pages.

You might just be on to something...

Who is someone that has made on impact on you who would surprised to find that out? (In life or Lit)

(Bad grammar, I know!)

I’m not sure. I pretty much let people know how I feel about them. How they affect my life. Life is too short to not let people know how you feel about them.
No surprises here...

I do want to call out to cookie and BadAmy and seela for helping me feel that being submissive isn’t crazy. PLP, Tink, cassie. The subby subs and the pain sluts. Nova. KimGordon. The ladies of the BDSM Cafe.

They all know this. I’ve talked about it with them, but I need to reiterate that it’s nice to be somewhere that someone speaks your language.

I am good about telling people who have an impact on me about it, so no one really pops to mind. I tend to admire people who do one of two things - first, they teach me something I didn't know, and second, they "live the dharma" - that is, whatever lifestyle they have - they live it in their daily actions. That always impresses me and encourages me to do better.

Lit Interaction

How important is it to you to get a response on something you post? Why? How often to you initiate a PM conversation? How does actual interaction with other posters factor into your coming to Lit? Do you need to feel heard or do you just want a place to read and say what's on your mind without judgement?

I missed this earlier, apologies to all for going backwards.

Rarely do I expect a response. It’s fun as fuck though when I get a random pm about something I posted. Because it usually leads to a fun interesting conversation. Rarely boobs.

There’s a couple threads that I always hit when I get on and those it’s nice when something I posted generated some discussion.

I always assume that everything is being judged - it’s what humans do even if we correct for it in our exhibited behavior.

Almost forgot - I send pms when I was intrigued/joyful about something I read. Partly because I enjoy getting the same.

How do you think Lit would be different if you had to pay a small monthly fee to participate?

There would be no more bfg flirting and flitting through the PG. :D

I think it would become more exclusive, but not in a good way.

ETA: the two posters above me, for example, wouldn't be here and they add so much to everyone's day!

I think it would have fewer alts, troll and people posting fake pics represented as being themselves. But it would also have a lot fewer Litster's and there'd still be complainers and agitators.

I'm not disagreeing but taking the personal privacy and financial element out could it have any benefits?

Or what if you could have extra privileges if you paid 2.99 a month?

(This is 100% me picking everyone's brains.)

I think the alt population would virtually disappear. But I do think the any and everyone aspect is what makes Lit.

What kind of extra privileges are you talking about?

Also - is this all theoretical or is there some talk about Lit being monetized?

It would be different because I would say fuck this place. I mean I might do that soon anyway but it is like real life. Why would I hire a hooker or pay for parking. If I apply myself I get that shit for free dog.

No no, totally hypocritical. Other sites do it. Just curious about how people would feel about it here.

Privileges.
Profiles. The ability to <like>. ???

The forum is broken. You can't even edit your profile, and from what I read on here, whatever they use to make this forum is outdated. If they have plans on charging people to use this forum, they need to fix what's broken first.

Obviously you don't live in the city, because where I live, paying for parking is a way of life here.

I can like you whether I'm certified or not :)

There are sites which offer premium membership for money. My experience is that it causes problems where paying members resent those who are there for free...

Non-paying verification is an excellent way to get rid of alts. I am so over alts.

Obviously you dont know where I live. Use public trans dude.

You can park for free in Manhattan as long as you move your car at the right time of day...

The community would shrink drastically.

The benefits of removing most of the trolls and alts would be offset by the loss of > 80% of the user base, including myself, and the risk of credit card hacking revealing personal info.

I like this place (mostly), but I'm not paying for the privilege of saying hi to y'all.

I'll take the old, broken forum module versus an upgraded version that comes with a financial requirement.

Hee... a funny/Freudian typo?

Nope - those features would not be tempting enough for me to pay and/or have to supply personal info to pay to be here.

And I agree with what you said earlier about the everyone and anyone aspect being part of what makes Lit fun. If there was a monthly fee to join when I found this place - I never would have joined.
