Excellent news for the attempt to subvert the thread to cycling....! Janey already sharing her long rides with us, and her cycle trips.... it's good for the knees compared to walking and running, honest

As for slacking fuckers... well wouldn't we all aspire to be just that!!

Sorry if you have misunderstood the intention of anyones posts...we are not tetchy in the slightest, it's a joke amongst the veterans of the thread for many years...we all know each other very well and this is a type of banter we have long had with each other. There is no intention of being exclusive to newer members of the thread...and no, not telling you off...

and Good Morning UK type persons...

hope a good weekend was had...I did a lovely 50 mile cycle through Nottingham and the Vale of Belvoir...hit a bit of a wall at one point but kept on going, even up the hills...His Lordship got his new road bike just in the nick of time and loved the upgrade from his hybrid and even had his first ride in cleats with no incident.. :D:D

Greetings moderator... or fucking slacker, whichever you feel suits you best - and seeing how GA eminently suits the latter as he barely wipes his face in here monthly, I think moderator suits you well!

Cleats are another thing I agree, I got blown over at traffic lights once because one foot in the cleats and one on the ground and the wind from the wrong side and I couldn't get my foot out... keels over to the right still attached to the bike, car occupants had a right larf!

The irony is that he raved about what a difference they made but will not allow me to have them...probably sensible as I can fall and smash my face in normal shoes without any help at all...

End of annual leave + Monday Morning alarm + no sleep = just wanting to stay in bed.
It’s not the thought of the job so much as the politics of the place, if that makes sense? Took me about three cups of coffee to get over it ;)
