This is a thread to share the things that worry us (big or small) throughout the day and what we do to balance that shit out.

I will start with the fact that I worry a serial killer will come into my bedroom while I sleep (because that’s completely rational), so I never sleep on the side of the bed closest to the door and when I sleep alone, I make a fake person in bed out of pillows both to cuddle and to create a diversion for a getaway.

I finished the Chernobyl miniseries last night. Now I've been researching the closest nuclear power plants.... sigh...

I get this thread.

I did that myself when I first moved here... just to be sure about fallout distance and possible radiation exposures.

You’re not alone.

I am not neurotic like you are. I am differently neurotic

We’re here to celebrate our differences... even the ones others may not understand... share? Or don’t if that’s what you worry about...

I was just making a wordplay joke. But I do octuple check my car lock

I've never made a fake sleeping person, but I do sometimes hang jingly things on doors so I wake up if anyone breaks in.

Now that I think about it, a sleeping person is better. Jingly things don't cuddle very well.

I wouldn't say in an anxiety, depressed type of way as I'm pretty stress free.

But

I may have it in more of an OCD type of way like things have to be in order (house, finances, scheduling of anything, my pantry, everything put anyway where it belongs), cleanliness is a must (house, yard, vehicles & hygiene).

My library has taken on the look that a genius works here.:cool:

I'm far more OCD than anything else, but only about certain things. My bookshelves at home and in my office...the dishwasher...my tools.

Otherwise, it's just little hints here or there that make me twinge.

Occasionally, when driving, I will see a car behind me that is following a little too closely. I will make a random turn just to see if I have a tail. A couple of times, I did!

I get this thread.

I worked for 35 years as a Licensed Operator Instructor teaching the operators how to deal with scary nuclear accidents...there are no plants remotely like Chernobyl in England or the US...

Now if you want NEW stuff that could scare the shit out of you in the nuclear industry...I can supply the nightmare material...:D

Why was someone tailing you??:eek::eek:

whoa, dude. I piss them off too, but never been followed.

You need to keep a gun in your car.

Good advice ☝🏻 I do

I worry Putin will lose it and I might have to let my Mum cross the Pond and live with me! Love her but we don’t live together too well

I have my concealed carry permit. But yeah, I feel like I'm being followed a lot. Last night I went to wally world and thought I recognized a guy. Thought he was following me, so I ducked down a random aisle. Started following him. Realized I was being nuts. I think it comes from working in the industry I did for so long. Recently I changed careers and it is slowly helping me de-stress.

I will check repeatedly to see if I turned off the stove. I’ll click the dials on and off just to make sure it’s really off. Sometimes I’m the middle of the night, I’ll wake up and just make sure.

I also have my library organized alphabetically by genre. 😬

Sigh. I own my crazy.

I keep worrying about an email I received at work on my last day before vacation. Someone wasn't happy with me or my colleagues. However, this someone should have been handled by admin. Now I'm worried about when I go back to work if things will get worse.

I should look into this. I'm between 2 nuc plants. In Homestead to the south & St Lucie to the north.

I had to do this when my dad was alive because of his Alzheimers.

When at work and having a nice day, no one can say the Q-word due to my superstition without being scolded and told a long, detailed story about what happened the last time someone said it.

I don't worry. I see no need to. I am careful though. Currently I have hinky stuff going on at my house so I am keeping an eye out.

Zombies.

Fuck you, Robert Kirkman!

When I read the first Walking Dead graphic novel, I couldn’t sleep for what felt like days... what if I woke up and everything was so drastically different and wrong?!

For me, it started with the remake of "Dawn of the Dead". Damn fast zombies
