Every time I try to contact an author using the contact tab on their profile page, I get this response in bold red letters:
Sorry, cannot send mail to [authorname]

When I try to post a message about my problem on the "Site News & Tech Support" Forum, I see this:
donaldelliott11, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

1) Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
2) If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

How can I contact someone in charge to see what is going on?

I'm puzzled by what you are or are not doing. You don't send an email via the contact page. You enter a message in the text box, and you enter your email address only if you want a response, but that's not necessary to get the message through.

As for the Site News and Tech Support Thread, only the admins can post threads and replies there. I get exactly the same response you do. That's how it's set up. If you have a technical question you should contact Manu or Laurel or post something on the Lit Tech Support forum.

Try send me a message via my contact page and I'll let you know if it goes through: https://www.literotica.com/stories/memberpage.php?uid=2528007&page=contact

Firstly, if that's the message you're getting from the Contact Page, it could be because that user has turned their Feedback off. It's not a fault, they just don't want feedback.

EDIT - just read Simon's post fully - he's right. You can Post a tech query in an existing thread, but you can't start a new thread of your own.

Simon - sorry, author contact is what I meant when I said send an e-mail. I am seemingly not allowed to contact anyone.
A test to you a minute ago got me the same fail message.

I don't know how to contact Manu or Laurel

I finally found the Tech Support subforum and have posted an inquiry there. Thanks for your help, all.
Did you use the Author Contact, or send a Private Message? They are two different systems.

Laurel can be contacted by PM, Manu responds to posts in the Tech Support forum.

Send a PM (Private Message) to Laurel, but make sure in User CP that you have enabled private messages.
