That is the cutest little stuffie!!

So for me, I never had a name for my little side until finding this thread. I knew I had a particular type of man I sought out and certain rp’s that drew me in but I didn’t have a name for it.

I had a penchant for men who liked me to call them Daddy, even when I was far too young to be exposed to or involved in that kind of thing. A lot of those men twisted the meaning and the relationship but it planted the seed with me.

I’ve learned, through you beautiful ladies here, that it’s perfectly acceptable to want to color and snuggle a stuffie. It’s okay to want and need and embrace those parts of me. I’ve let them peek through here and there but still have to hold back some at home some. Thankfully I’ve recently had someone who fully supports and can handle my little side. He loves when I color pictures for him, he tells me stories and sends me bedtime stories to read when we can’t talk. He makes sure I have a stuffie with me when I need some comforting.

It’s just nice to embrace that side of me and let it out more

This made me smile. That you are embracing parts of yourself and you have an ally in this project. :rose:

Allergies are no fun!

If you use essential oils, try a blend of lavender, peppermint, and lemon - you can put a drop of each in a vegetable capsule and take it or I prefer to just put a drop of each in my palm and breathe it in

I usually just put peppermint on my sinuses and throat and make peppermint tea, but I took Claritin (???). I feel worse now than before. With all this rain, the desert and my weeds (and my neighbor's weeds lol) have flourished.

Okay, so maybe it's a cold or a cold on top of an allergy. I'm taking it easy today, or this afternoon, anyway. Before I open my book (Little Comfort by Edwin Hill), I was gathering a list of writing prompts for my children to use in their journaling. I thought maybe I would ask a few things here, just to get us thinking and sharing.

We are all special and unique, coming from different areas, having different backgrounds. What is it about you that you are most proud of? Something you've done, a character strength...share, please.

Okay. I'll bite, even though this feels hard.
I'm proud of going back to school. Laser focused on the goal and pulling off top of class the same year I got married... paying for both my tuition and our wedding with no help from parents. It took a lot of focus, planning and determination, strengths I still have.

When I wrote that question the other day, I had something specific in mind that I've always been super proud of. As I thought about it, I asked myself what other things since then could I say. What do I like about myself?

Sometimes I think we get caught up in the everyday hub and bub of the world and we don't stop to look at ourselves the way others do. We rely on Daddy/PYL to tell us how wonderful we are - and that's not necessarily a bad thing - but we should also see our self worth.

My children recently found a plastic box of soaps I'd made and wanted to use them. Years ago, I started making my own natural soaps. From the oils I used, the Essential Oil for scent, to the mica for coloring...all natural. At first, it was just for my family. I saw how much I was saving after my initial investment, and that caused me to look at other things like lip balm, laundry soap, and massage oils. Soon, I had friends buying things from me, which led to the local farmers stand on the corner selling them for me. Unfortunately, we moved after my (then) hubby came back from deployment, and I had two little ones by then and not much time...but it was so fun doing something creative while saving money.

That is super cool bfg.
Do you want to do that again? Do the farmers market or craft market thing?

My closest farmer's market is 34 miles away. With the limited space and time I have (and my resources for bulk materials 2200 miles away), I don't see me doing this again. But, you know, now I think I should atleast look into it, trying to find local (within 100 miles) sources!

Thought provoker!

What 10 things make you happy?

Family
Sunshine on warm days
Rain/thunderstorms
Friends
The smell of lilacs
His voice/our conversations
Barefeet in the cool grass
Long dresses brushing my ankles
Books!
Coloring
