Trump's attorney general pick William Barr has enough Senate votes to be confirmed
President Donald Trump's attorney general nominee William Barr has secured enough votes in the Senate to take over the Justice Department as attorney general, where he will oversee special counsel Robert Mueller's Russia probe.
Barr was widely expected to be confirmed by the Republican-majority Senate.
But he faced scrutiny over how he would handle special counsel Robert Mueller's ongoing probe of Russia's election interference and possible collusion with Trump campaign-related officials.

I'll wait until he actually announces an indictment or 12 before I do any celebrating. Otherwise, I predict it'll be business as usual.

I predict

Your prediction

Will be the right prediction

Clever. You deserve a cookie for that. Go ask Laurel, I'm sure she has one already picked out just for you. :)

Top officers in the FBI, CIA, and DOJ and the complicit MSM, with Obama/Hillary, have all willfully orchestrated this attempted (ongoing) coup, and should be charged with treason.

You might be right, but in that case he'll be personally affirming and endorsing a highly visible two tiered justice system in America.

With at least conspiracy and sedition.

We'll see what happens......if anything.

We're told over and over that the rot was restricted to the top. Well, most of those people are gone. Fired or 'retired' in disgrace. But the way the Stone arrest was orchestrated makes me wonder just how deep the rot goes. There is NO excuse for that little piece of political theater.

I trust Victoria Toensing and Joe Digenova, both say Barr will clean up the DOJ. He testified he would review the FISA controversy as well any criminal activity involved.

Like Huber did?

Not all are bad people. Last I heard Huber is conducting a criminal investigation. If he is, unlike Rosenstein who had a motive to slow roll it, Barr will speed things up.

BS

He hasnt called any wittnesses or testified anywhere

Understand this BB, if there is an ongoing grand jury investigation the only way for you to know whether or not witnesses have been called is if there is a leak of classified grand jury information. You may be right, but the fact that none of this has been leaked to date is not evidence an investigation isn't ongoing.

Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.

But then, neither is it proof.

But then, neither is it proof.

Precisely. My statement was based partly on the testimony of acting AG Whitaker who said under oath that John Huber was investigating alleged misconduct by the FBI or DOJ .

Well, this is it then. In a week, certainly no more than 10 days, our future former president Trump will be in shackles before some lowly local justice of the peace, begging for bail, while reporters flock around the regal Robert Mueller, begging for morsels of his wisdom.
The scandal-ridden Trump era is laid wide open in the following compendium of lawbreaking. If you love America it will make you weep.

https://theintercept.com/2019/01/20...-u-s-media-failures-on-the-trumprussia-story/

So this is it then. In a week, perhaps 10 days, the president will be in chains, paraded down Pennsylvania Avenue in an orange jumpsuit that matches his complexion, his crimes there for all to see.
If his partnership with Russia wasn't obvious enough, Trump flaunted it by appointing known Putin pal John Bolton as National Security Advisor. Bolton is well known for being so soft on foreign policy Democrats wouldn't allow him as UN ambassador when W was president.
Yeah, you want tough foreign policy, you don't turn to guys like Trump. Next thing you know he'll be turning the military's focus to battling climate change and accommodating guys without dicks. Real men like Obama know what the military is for.
And you won't hear Obama whispering about being "flexible" with Putin after the election.
Yeah, justice will finally be served. And just wait until the press finds out Pompeo has a private server at his house, he's sending classified emails and Trump knows and is replying to them.
Heads with fucking roll - and justifiably so!

Well, this is it then. In another week or 10 days, or maybe a couple of weeks or a month or two, or perhaps sometime in mid-2019 our president will be in chains before a judge, begging for mercy while liberals take their rightful place at the throne of leadership. There they will tax wisely and deeply, regulate often, and commit capitalism with their cronies while the economy they regulate will boom at a sustainable -1.2 percent or less growth rate.

Well this is it then. In a week, 10 days at the most, President Trump will be in chains before a judge, pleading for mercy as liberals everywhere jeer and mock him. The Mueller investigation will have made its mark, proving Trump's ties with the real estate and hotel industries and that he has appeared on a popular television series.
Justice will have prevailed. America will return to normalcy.

Another week, another event, another triumphant claim that this time! this time! this time he cannot recover. Once again, it is the beginning of the end.

For Trump, the corruption dam has burst wide open! He's toast now!

This is proof of Trump Russian Collusion, this time we're gonna get him for sure!

WE'VE GOT HIM NOW!!

:p :p :p
