I'm about over the whole scope thing. There is a blizzard of reticles out there. Some of them border on the ridiculous. So much reticle you can't see the target like this one;
So I've decided to get a reticle more along this line;
Enough information to do range estimation and windage adjustments without too much clutter. I've also decided on a 4x24 magnification. 5x25 is too much on both the high and low end. And I'm going to go with an illuminated reticle. I intend to use the scope for hunting as well and reticles can get lost in dawn/dusk lighting conditions. I'll also be going with front focal plane reticle also based on range estimation properties and consequent hold over.
That leaves me with two remaining decisions. MilDot or MOA and which brand?
