Actually, the guys that did the concrete for the ice surface in the main arena and the practice arena were amazing.. I videoed quite a bit of both, that's where I worked.. There were ten guys or so, and they did the entire pour in one day, not even a full one. It's pretty awesome, they even had lasers and gps to make sure it was perfectly done.

I've got a bunch of pics of me in the dirt at center ice before the concrete, the only one in the building.. good memories..

I saw you post a photo of it not too long ago :D

I got to see the Wings play a few times at Joe Louis back in the 90's, including an exciting playoff game against the Avalanche. They had a great team and being there was pretty cool.

I LOVED watching the wings back in the 80s and early 90s.. Hockey was better then IMO too..

The wings suck now.. they actually are trading the red seats for black because the red seats show the lack of people better.. Lol
