🧠 What Are Your Intrusive Thoughts Trying to Convince You of Today??

Thank you both. I'm sorry that you are both in a similar situation. Feeling stuck is very rough indeed.

It really is. And not seeing a way unstuck can be brutal.

I'm heart reacting but it's more like a hug reaction for both of you... being in this place is no fun, that's for sure. The reactions here are not nuanced enough for all emotions!

To come out of semi-retirement and go back to full time.

Ain't gonna do it, no matter what those voices say.

I get intrusive music in my head a lot. It's not always an actual song (as far as I can recall), or it might just be a part of a song, like a riff or melody, and I may have changed it from the original.

Sometimes it just runs in the background, but at worst it can be distracting. Sometimes it's difficult not to hum or sing parts of it aloud but under my breath.

I know everyone can "get a song stuck in your head" sometimes, and I do that too. I think this is different, but I'm not sure I'm explaining it well.

I want her, crave her, have to find a way to be with her….then reality speaks, quit cheating, end it

That I have acute margarita deficiency. I probably don't but why risk it?

Bingo. I get this a lot.

Sometimes in the morning, my wife and I will be in bed and I am unconsciously thumping the beat w my fingers of a song running thru my head. She will say, “what song are you thinking about?”

I used to be a drummer.

But it’s not bad intrusive. I don’t find it distracting.

Being mischievous this evening or doing some admin / work.. my intrusive thoughts are quite bipolar sometimes
