Can I say something really random?

I started lifting weights again two weeks ago, and after two days of sickness I stopped. Today I started again, and lifted with ease! So happy to see such a fast response in my muscles, both in terms of strength and bicep toning :D I wasn’t allowed to exercise after being diagnosed with exhaustion, but I’m not me if I don’t exercise, and just so happy that my body seems to be taking it so well! I thought it would protest as if being under attack!

You should! I remember when I first started roughly two years ago, some days it was difficult to make myself do it, and the last thing I wanted to do, but it gave me a sense of accomplishment when I pushed on and the rewards were so worth it! It reduced my anxiety, and I love feeling physically strong - though I keep it to a level where I don’t bulk up. Always shocks people when they see me lifting things :D

It really does, you sort of resolve things that are worrying you in the back of your mind whilst working out, without realising you’re doing it! I was never so laid back as I was when I was working out daily! I didn’t sweat the small stuff at all

I have alot of pent up anger and frustration so I bet it would have a positive affect of some kind. Even if it didn't.. it's still good to get in shape lol

Try it! Give it a few weeks and see what you think! The days where you really can’t be bothered, and find yourself making excuses but go ahead anyway are the days you really get a lot out of it, in my experience! I thoroughly recommend it. When my housing is stable I plan to get some cardio equipment too

Now I can't find my weights.. I must've stored them at my sister's house somewhere.

I'll ask her when she gets off work.

I always combine both strength and cardio. In terms of weight loss it helps you tone as you lose, but I just really enjoy the feeling of being physically fit as well as strong, mainly! I’m really out of shape too, I don’t think my current shape even has a name 😂 😂 just happy to be back to working out at the moment

I can't say I've ever felt that feeling but I am bettering myself.. slowly. Cutting out sodas with water has helped me.. though I have a caffeine addiction so I can't quit them cold turkey or I'll get headaches.

I'm glad it's helping you though, I'm sure with the amount of stress you have on a daily basis that it really does help! 🌹

With sodas, I have one in the morning, and one at night, and water all day between. It works for me! You’ll find what works for you, but the most important thing is to be happy with yourself, no matter what form that takes :)

Easier said than done but I try to, just haven't accomplished that yet.

Haha I’m glad! :D just read on the news that I’m in the hottest country in Europe currently, so not so happy about that! I want to move to the South Pole 🐧
