Looks as though Roseanne Barr jumped aboard.

Sarah Palin joined early on. She has not jumped out.

"Just days ago I was out plowing snow. I was chopping wood,” Palin told the crowd. “And I was — I kid you not — cooking caribou stew. Just like all of you, making a meal for the family. I just have to shoot it first."

Ralph Reed seems to cling to this cult.

Included in the mailing is this prayer card, which has the Lord’s Prayer on the back under the message “Pray for the Trump Family”.

awwww

They included Tiffany Trump in the prayer picture.

"In a rare father-daughter sighting, Donald and Tiffany Trump were photographed arriving in Palm Beach, Florida, together via Air Force One."

Trump and his younger daughter will spend Easter Weekend with family at his Mar-a-Lago estate, where the president will be reunited with wife Melania and their son, Barron, 12, after spending the week apart.

If you join the Trump Prayer Team, here are the 3 key areas to concentrate on:

That President Trump be granted wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. (James 1:5)

That President Trump be given Godly counsel and God-fearing advisors. (Proverbs 24:6)

That President Trump would work to reverse the trends of Godless secular humanism in our nation. (Isaiah 59:19 and 1 Chronicles 12:32)

“Pay to Pray” scam ?

I didn't really know what to make of it. Nice try though.

My take away is that Rosanne is on twitter and occasionally supports an anonymous 'Q" who sells t-shirts. Also, there's a meme/pic of sorts that implicates "The Church of Latter Day Satan" being supported by the Clinton family. Also, that Rosanne Barr seems to have had a falling out s/some Democrats lately.

Either way, it doesn't look good for the Democrats as the DNC seems to have distanced itself from Bill and Hillary these last several months.

i don't even want to think about what the second coming of fearless leader implies. some things are better left unimagined.

Be definition, all religions are cults.
I thought I'd read that a cult is a religion without an army. Once your cult takes control, it gets upgraded. Total control gives monotheism. Shared control produces polytheism. If all cults are armed, gods proliferate.

Until Emperor Constantine listened to his Xian mom and made Yeshua-worship official, the Roman Republic and later Empire had no state religion as such, just many quasi-political cults. You picked the cult to give you most advantage. "High priest of Jupiter" was a nice step in a career path.

If the object of worship is invisible, it's a religious cult. If an individual is worshiped, it's a personality cult. Stalinism, Maoism, Reaganism: all PCs. And now Trompism. With armed cultists. Watch out!

I find this cult to be confusing.

Every member of the cult seems to have
their own personal choice of an enemy.

Cult members seem to be keenly focused on punishing victims. Plenty of cult foot soldiers, willing to kick the victims.

Trump takes DACA victims as hostages

Trump wants to be very, very loving, and has a "big heart" for DACA children, but he will get his border wall, by any means. (He cannot fulfill two promises on the same issue. His core Trump trolls have a strong hate for minorities. He sold Mexicans as rapists, murderers, drug dealers, and job takers. America First, Trump shouted!Afterwards Trump said that White Supremacists, the KKK and modern day Nazi party members, were "very fine people."

https://www.theatlantic.com/politic...s-some-very-fine-people-on-both-sides/537012/

Trump canceled the DACA program by Executive Order and then held a metaphorical gun to the head of the 1.3 million people who were brought here as children. He threatened to non-metaphorically deport them if the Democrats wouldn’t fund his stupid Fuck You Mexico wall. And when the Democrats said, Oh, fine. Here’s $25 billion for your damn wall if you’ll let the kids stay, Trump himself refused to sign the deal. (Trump wanted much more money.)

https://wonkette.com/632090/trumps-executive-time-twitter-was-extra-loony-this-morning

Trump promised in the first 100 days of his presidency to revoke all of Obama’s unconstitutional executive actions

Trump assured the public that he had a “big heart” and would come up with a solution that would have “a lot of heart.”

Trump ended the program in exactly the way an executive order drafted, but not signed, in January would have done.

Under Obama, DACA information was protected from Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents by privacy regulations, but an executive order signed by President Trump in January relaxed those restrictions.

Trump Ends DACA, Calls On Congress To Act

Donald J. Trump

@realDonaldTrump
Congress, get ready to do your job - DACA!

8:04 AM - Sep 5, 2017

Donald J. Trump

@realDonaldTrump
Congress now has 6 months to legalize DACA (something the Obama Administration was unable to do). If they can't, I will revisit this issue!
8:38 PM - Sep 5, 2017

The president doesn’t seem to understand that “revisiting” DACA in six months isn’t as easy as flipping a switch. The Department of Homeland Security stopped accepting DACA applications as of Tuesday, so anyone who was planning to apply is already blocked from the program. Those whose DACA protections are set to expire before March 6 have a month to apply for one last renewal. All other DACA recipients are set to revert to unauthorized status on March 6.

That means for at least the next six months, DACA recipients will be living in a state of fear and anxiety, unsure of whether they need to start planning for the possibility of deportation. If Congress fails to act and Trump doesn’t finish rethinking DACA by March 6, more than 275,000 people will lose their protections by the end of 2018.

http://nymag.com/daily/intelligence...sible-pledge-to-revisit-daca-in-6-months.html

President Trump’s administration announced that it would be ending DACA last September, though courts have blocked the rollback from going into effect.

Democrats offered Trump $25 billion in border-wall funding for a permanent legislative fix to the program, and the president turned them down.

Three offers to Trump, three versions

A more conservative proposal written by Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) and backed by the White House, then failed by an even wider margin — with only 39 votes in favor, and 60 against.

@realDonaldTrump
Border Patrol Agents are not allowed to properly do their job at the Border because of ridiculous liberal (Democrat) laws like Catch & Release. Getting more dangerous. “Caravans” coming. Republicans must go to Nuclear Option to pass tough laws NOW. NO MORE DACA DEAL

9:56 AM - Apr 1, 2018

Trump talks to Hannity (a man that rants about his hate for undocumented immigrants on FOX TV) during Easter vacation in Florida, and watches FOX TV info-tainment.

Trump promptly reveals his lack of awareness, comprehension, and understanding of DACA.

Donald J. Trump

@realDonaldTrump
These big flows of people are all trying to take advantage of DACA. They want in on the act

10:28 AM - Apr 1, 2018

April 2, 2018

The president spent Monday morning tweeting attacks against Democrats over the Obama-era Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals policy that he ended in September.

CNN’s Jim Acosta asked Trump to comment, at the White House Easter Egg Roll.

“Didn’t you kill DACA?” CNN’s Jim Acosta asked, after Trump told reporters that Democrats had let down DACA recipients facing deportation.

Donald J. Trump

@realDonaldTrump
DACA is dead because the Democrats didn’t care or act, and now everyone wants to get onto the DACA bandwagon... No longer works. Must build Wall and secure our borders with proper Border legislation. Democrats want No Borders, hence drugs and crime!

7:17 AM - Apr 2, 2018

April 2, 2018

Trump attacked Democrats for killing DACA, (again) which is the presidential equivalent of punching someone in the face, then inquiring why they keep hitting themselves.

http://nymag.com/daily/intelligence...sensical-daca-claims-in-series-of-tweets.html

I don't see how the DACA program is even a debatable issue over there. We had a similar discussion in UK politics directly following Brexit, as to whether citizens of other EU countries living in the UK (In the EU you can literally move to another country on a whim with no visas or immigration checks or nuffin') would be allowed to stay in the UK or be deported.

It was barely even a discussion. I don't remember hearing a single person, even those in the most extreme anti-immigration party UKIP, actually seriously call for the deportation of EU citizens. It was sort of only brought up as a "hey we need to do something about this legislative gap so we don't end up dragging people out of their homes". So of course, as any sane minded nation would do, our government and the EU parliament both guaranteed the living status of Britons in the EU and vice versa.

So when we hear that the US has actually started dragging innocent people, who've lived in the US for sometimes decades, out of their homes and away from their families and chucking them back across the border with no safety net or connections...You can probably see why the rest of the modern world's opinion of the US is significantly declining under this administration.

Hat

You may have noticed that even mainstream liberals are starting to chafe at the painful duty of taking conservatives seriously. At the New York Times, for example, Michelle Goldberg recently wondered why we have “affirmative action for reactionaries” that elevates dumb wingnuts to major media posts, and New York magazine’s Jonathan Chait wrote in “The Final Surrender of Anti-Trump Conservatism” that the movement’s capitulation to Trump has “revealed that conservatism has no neutral or abstract standards of good government.

Three conservative mass effusions last week — defending the honor of a prominent troll, attacking (yet again!) the Parkland students, and celebrating the Roseanne reboot as a cultural touchstone for Trumpism — demonstrate why.

If you read the article, you'll see The Suit. It will have a familiar look, as it is all over the GB this week

If not, enjoy the Shoes and Socks-

I will say that the Age of Trump has had a weird effect on them. It’s as if they’ve taken a lesson from their constantly lying, bloviating Leader: Not only is it OK to say the quiet parts out loud when it comes to bigotry and authoritarianism, it’s also OK to ditch the tedious intellectual efforts (like the “Reformicon” scam) with which they used to dress up their cruelty and cynicism. Who needs that hassle anymore?

Since they’ve stopped trying, one needs less labor to scrape the veneer off their ridiculous ideas and lay them bare. That’s good for me, of course, and who knows, maybe good for the Republic too — because maybe more voters will catch on.

Cult member VS Cult member

He grew up in Vermont and went to Middlebury College, and now he lives in New York City. Not only that, but Vaughn’s father is Scott Mackey, a lobbyist for the wireless industry who served as a legislative aide to former Vermont Sen. Jim Jeffords—a Republican who, when he switched his party affiliation to independent in 2001, temporarily handed control of the Senate over to the Democratic Party.

After college, he moved to Brooklyn, New York, and took a job as an economist at John Dunham & Associates, an economic consulting firm that uses data to help clients “respond to threats and opportunities in the policy arena.” When reached by phone on Wednesday, the president of the company, John Dunham, confirmed that Mackey had been an employee there from April 2012 to July 2016, when he was terminated for reasons that Dunham could not reveal under New York labor laws. (A month earlier, the @RapinBill Twitter account was registered.)

Manhattan’s Upper East Side

That was certainly his residence by the time he voted, as a Republican, in the 2016 election, according to New York voter registration information.

A graduate from a liberal arts school who hails from a nice wealthy Republican family, who later became an economist and moved to the Upper East Side, was secretly one of the loudest fascists on the internet when he clocked out.

https://splinternews.com/one-of-the-most-infamous-fascist-trolls-on-the-internet-1825032443

Young D is the spoiled only son of a doting mother. He has never been crossed in his life. He spends his time at the game of seeing what he can get away with. He is constantly arrested for speeding and his mother pays the fines. He has been ruthless toward two wives and his mother pays the alimony. His life is spent in sensation-seeking and theatricality. He is utterly inconsiderate of everybody. He is very good-looking, in a vacuous, cavalier way, and inordinately vain. He would certainly fancy himself in a uniform that gave him a chance to swagger and lord it over others.

They may be the gentle philosopher whose name is in the Blue Book, or Bill from City College to whom democracy gave a chance to design airplanes—you’ll never make Nazis out of them. But the frustrated and humiliated intellectual, the rich and scared speculator, the spoiled son, the labor tyrant, the fellow who has achieved success by smelling out the wind of success—they would all go Nazi in a crisis.

Believe me, nice people don’t go Nazi. Their race, color, creed, or social condition is not the criterion. It is something in them.

It was not harmless fun

He had tens of thousands of followers, and his talent for blending far-right propaganda with conservative messages on Twitter made him a key disseminator of extremist views to Republican voters and a central figure in the “alt-right” white supremacist movement that attached itself to Trump’s coattails. The MIT Media Lab named him to its list of top 150 influencers on the election, based on news appearances and social media impact. He finished ahead of NBC News, Drudge Report and Stephen Colbert.

Speaker of the House, Paul Ryan is confirmed as a member of the cult.
He removed a dissident.

April 27, 20182

Chaplain of the House, Rev. Patrick Conroy, has been kicked aside, because he would not join.

The speaker said he would consult with Pelosi "in the coming weeks" on Conroy's successor.

However, in his resignation letter, Conroy noted that he was stepping down "as you have requested" and has since made clear that he had no interest in leaving Capitol Hill.

https://www.npr.org/2018/04/27/6064...f-house-chaplain-sparks-outrage-and-suspicion

The cult does not tolerate dissent.

The Chaplain broke a rule of the cult.
He questioned the actions of the cult.

The murkiness has led to allegations from Democrats, which Ryan has further denied, that the decision involved in part a November prayer on the House floor in which Conroy appeared to criticize the GOP's tax cut legislation and included the line: "May their efforts these days guarantee that there are not winners and losers under new tax laws, but benefits balanced and shared by all Americans."

The rumor I heard was. Father Conroy refused to perform exorcisms of Dum demons when demanded by certain Baptists. Note that Father Conroy didn't attend the recent Vatican exorcist convention and so is unqualified to roust evil liberal spirits with beads, chants, and fire. Plus it would have broken Congressional safety codes. But they don't care.

I saw some recent news about a bit of a larger cult than far-right US politics, namely Christianity.

Apparently Mike Pompeo is a hyper-fundamentalist who literally believes the rapture could happen at any moment. And unfortunately he's not the only one, the US gov is littered with the most fringe extreme elements of Christianity right now. Which has some weird implications across US politics. So: your government is being run by the craziest wingnuts in the country; Christian extremists who believe they are in politics to do gods work, hence the new policy the US gov has taken on Israel with the succession of the Trump administration which is that they are seeking for Israel to annex the whole of Palestine instead of prioritizing peace in the region and supporting the two-state solution. A weird case of religious interests aligning.

The Judaic extremist Zionist government in Israel believes they have a Manifest Destiny to what they consider their holy land and are working with the most powerful elements of the Christian extremist government in the US who believe that Israel should acquire all the land so that the end of the world can finally come about.

The thought that a supposedly secular Western government would be basing important policy on bronze age prophecies of the Armageddon is just frankly weird to me...but uh, they are.

Nah. I don't think its' really a cult. I haven't asked Ricky Vaughn though. But it's all "twitter" linked. Hmmm.

Removed dozens of online resources dedicated to helping local governments address climate change

Staff have been told to avoid using the term climate change in their work

A missive from Bianca Moebius-Clune, director of soil health, lists terms that should be avoided by staff and those that should replace them. “Climate change” is in the “avoid” category, to be replaced by “weather extremes”. Instead of “climate change adaption”, staff are asked to use “resilience to weather extremes”.

The primary cause of human-driven climate change is also targeted, with the term “reduce greenhouse gases” blacklisted in favor of “build soil organic matter, increase nutrient use efficiency”. Meanwhile, “sequester carbon” is ruled out and replaced by “build soil organic matter”.

Bramblett added that “prudence” should be used when discussing greenhouse gases and said the agency’s work on air quality regarding these gases could be discontinued.

Toxic White Privilege Syndrome (TWPS)

By the logic of TWPS, Mark — a member of the most privileged demographic in the entire world — viewed himself as an exalted victim. Not because he’d ever been racially profiled by the police or discriminated against in the workplace and had his family torn asunder by immigration officials. But because others were holding him accountable for his support of an openly racist and misogynistic politician.

This is how TWPS works. It’s best thought of as a kind of emotional Ponzi scheme. The more Trump makes offensive and fraudulent statements, the more he offends our common decency, the more his supporters are looked down upon. The more they’re looked down upon, the more ardent they become in their devotion.

Trump’s true calling is not as a politician, or even a brand manager. He’s the world’s greatest promoter of TWPS, a man who embodies the idea that being white and privileged and selfish means never, ever having to say you’re sorry. For anything.

One of the first references in this thread was to Roseanne Barr

This week, Roseanne did something familiar to cult members- She dumped her non-cult relationships, and confirmed a relationship with a cult leader. He in turn, strengthened the association, and exploited the situation.

Her revived television show was dependent on her keeping her unacceptable tendencies in check. She blew a hole in the TV show, and it sank. Was it a deliberate tactic ? The show had success, despite her reputation for supporting internet media trolls and troll-ish activists.

(I must tip my hat, to the person on Literotica, that explicitly pointed out that Roseanne is know for trolling, as a preferred method of humor.)

christopath

definition ?

(original article kept at a blog hosting site-link inside Crooks and Liars link)
Someone is identified as a christopath

"Christopath" is a word I coined 13 years ago, back when Mr. Michael Gerson was being paid to put words in George W. Bush's mouth and thoughts into George W. Bush's head."

https://crooksandliars.com/2018/05/christian-republican-hypocrisy-came-way

The word speaks of a disorder. To go full bore christopath, is something I am witness to seeing others do. What happens when a segment of the Christian world displays symptoms of christopathology, and rampages through the host society ?

We are all witness to it.

Is the cult leader a dictator ?

0. Converting public celebrations into propaganda event

yes

1. Systematic efforts to intimidate the media

yes

2. Building an official pro-Trump media network

Does not need to form his own, between photo-ops and propaganda events funded by taxpayers, and tweets- all media branches carry his messages

Cult messaging from

Sinclair TV

Evangelical TV

FOX TV

3. Politicizing the civil service, military, National Guard, or the domestic security agencies

If he can sink his leech suckers on it, he'll suck the life out of it.

4. Using government surveillance against domestic political opponents

Trump aides hired the Israeli private intelligence agency Black Cube to orchestrate a “dirty ops” campaign against Obama officials who helped negotiate the Iran nuclear deal, and the hosts of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” claimed Trump tried to use the friendly National Enquirer tabloid to blackmail them into more positive coverage.

5. Using state power to reward corporate backers and punish opponents

There are many corporations that oppose Trump.

It is a mystery why Trump attacks Amazon and Bezos

6. Stacking the Supreme Court

Mitch McConnell killed Obama's chance to balance the situation. Trump made it much worse.

7. Enforcing the law for only one side

The president has enlisted GOP allies like Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA) to interfere in the congressional probe of his campaign ties to Russia, and he’s ordered Justice Department loyalists to give his legal team what amounts to a sneak peek at the evidence gathered against him.

8. Really rigging the system

The president has rejected the findings of intelligence and law enforcement agencies that Russia interfered in the election, and has done virtually nothing to limit foreign interference in future elections and made cuts to U.S. cybersecurity — which experts warn will invite more meddling.

9. Fearmongering

His campaign was based on fear.

MS-13 gang members, is his favorite.

10. Demonizing the opposition

yes

Check list ticked and accounted for!

Yes, cult leader is a dick, and a dictator.
