I'm wondering if it's yellow jasper.

Is it translucent at all? If it is, it may well be amber or perhaps even a jade. I'd really like to a bigger picture of it.

Thank you. :)

Not translucent but the gold streak is somewhat translucent.

I Google some jasper stone images and I think you might be right.

Googling Navajo jewelry and jasper stone seems to produce a lot of results I think it was commonly used

Seems likely. Especially after googling Navajo jewelry and yellow jasper. It's an attractive stone.

you know that old conundrum that is the color that I perceive is blue the same as the color that you perceive is blue since neither of us can see what the other actually sees?

Something weird about this Stone it looks much more lustrous in photographs than it does in person it definitely looks better in the sunlight.

It probably could use some polishing.

Resume is polished up, agencies are selected and mapped. Conveniently they are within about 10 minutes of each other in a nice counter-clockwise direction leading me back home when I'm finished.

Tomorrow will be the beginning of a new life. One small, yet very large, step at a time.

:)

Knock 'em dead!

*surprised expression eye brows*

OTOH

I want a Snuggie blanket for the inside of my sleeping bag. The furnace is laboring much too hard.

Well, USS Callister moves down to 2nd place as Black Museum is now my favorite Black Mirror episode. Deliciously dark happy ending.

USS Callister was good fun, well written and shot. That hard-living-looking Matt Damon fella was a fine blend of creepy evil and sad geek.

This is really getting out of hand. These fuckwits will still be making threads of sheer nonsense from their nursing homes. Shitting in their diapers and typing away, still thinking that what they say matters.

P.S. Sorry if I have caused some to have nightmares with that visual.

Good luck with this new chapter in your life!

Last night's meat pie was a semi drunken attempt at a pie with the wrong dough. Tonight's pie looks very promising.

Slow cooked brisket - shallots, garlic, thyme, bay leaf, red wine, rosemary. Fork the brisket after 4 hours, add a little more butter and wine to the juices, deglaze and whisk up, add shredded brisket back, stir, and set aside. Meanwhile, boil 1lb potatoes and 1lb parsnips. Drain when soft, add grated truffle and truffle oil, brandy cream, seasoning, and butter. Mash and then puree. Boil six large onions in water until soft, push out middle, and fill onion shell with brisket mixture, topping with the puree. Return to oven at a middle temperature for around 20-25 minutes. Serve with fresh peas.

So rich. So beautiful.

That sounds delightful. A lot of work, but very interesting and unique. You should be proud of yourself - I would be if I were you.

I hope everyone was properly appreciative.
