For standard old American style bacon, the Kirkland stuff from Costco ranks high.

My favorite bacon is birch syrup cured shoulder bacon from the local butcher.

Yesterday's bacon was Hempler's Applewood Smoked Uncured Center Cut Bacon from Costco.

We can't say much about drugs, alcohol, or smoking. For some reason we've never tried anything except a few beers and an occasional wine.
Still I'm going to say this Melissa................... run far away from those 'friends'.


Also I saw something about bumping into a trailer hitch. In many states it's now illegal to leave the trailer hitch drawbar with the ball on a vehicle. It's especially dangerous at shopping center parking lots.

I don't want to pay for it though. Aldi has a good thick sliced bacon. So does Fresh Market out of their butcher block.

I wouldn't pay for it on a daily basis, but I will on occasion. It's kind more of an entertainment expense than a grocery one in that way.

The Kirkland comes in 3 packs and the Hemplers comes in two packs.

They are both good. The Hemplers is thick cut and is quite good. The Kirkland is perfect for wrapping asparagus for grilling.

Butcher Block #9 (a local butcher) has a lot of "natural" style bacon.

Unconscionable. Glad you have no interest in those that would glorify such a prison.

That client I've been working with is still bright and eager and enthused about her recovery work. Her boyfriend just lost his job because he needed to leave an hour early for mandatory, random drug testing as a condition of his probation.

Even when people are doing well, complying with everything that's asked of them, the costs and fallout still rain down. Starting over would suck.

I can't even imagine wishing for anyones downfall who is improving themselves.

Kirkland is okay. But I prefer the thicker sliced butcher block style.
