In your ignorant zealoutry against abortion, again you show your profound ignorance.
They cannot pick up the slack. They are already overflowing with patients. We need more clinics, not less.
What the hell is it with you and abortion? Why do you hate it so?
Many people feel that life begins at conception, and that as such it is morally reprehensible to abort, whether via a surgical abortion or "emergency conception" which keeps the inseminated ovum from implantation. That is a legitimate viewpoint. Being pro choice should not mean we pretend pro life opinions are less legitimate than our own. That simply is not true and is intellectually dishonest.
This is why we vote. If we make the assumption that all D voters are pro choice and all R voters are pro life, then we must conclude that as of now more people disagree with you and me. R is winning across the board. Of course we dont know this R D split on the issue, I am simply using it as an example of how you need to understand that some people think differently than you and exercise their choice accordingly.
Then they simply need not have one. They do not get to apply their religious beliefs to the lives of others.
So that you can apply yours to them!!!
LOL
The never ending hypocrisy.
How awful it is to force people to have the freedom to make their own decisions.
Then they simply need not have one. They do not get to apply their religious beliefs to the lives of others.
First off, one can be against abortion and be an atheist.
But that is besides the point. Yes they do get to apply their religious beliefs to the lives of others. It is called legislation via elected officials. They, like you and me, can and should vote for people who will fight to enact the type of legislation they want.
It's a moral code - whether its foundation is religion or your own inner compass.
And actually no you don't get to do that. That's where your morality ends - where my nose begins. That's the basic line. The fact that it has been trampled to death - pretty only specifically with abortion (and gay marriage oddly enough) - isn't an excuse. It just shows how little society trusts women to make basic medical decisions about their own body.
Your morality doesn't get to make medical decisions about my body. Unless I get to do the same with you? What part of your body do I get to legislate? Mandatory organ donation?
Yes they very much so do. Regardless of the constitution. That I cannot argue with.
If they are successful, it will hurt us all. Every last one of us.
Dedfunding PP isn't unconstitutional LOL....put the crack pipe down.
I'm going to get taxed out of the country anyhow....so meh...not really an issue for me.
Impractical, unpopular, unwanted...
Foisting one's religious beliefs on another is unconsitutional.
To use your logic and reasoning, your state voted on it in a legal fashion - so what's your problem.
They are not foisting their religious beliefs on anyone by defunding PP.
You are foisting your ideology on them by making them fund PP.
Hua? Voted on what?
I don't have a problem, shit's just bidniz as usual.
Yes... funding a popular and effective medical group that is supported by the majority of the United States citizenry is me foisting my ideology on "them". You betcha.
you are in an upside down world.
If you didn't have a problem you wouldn't spend hours of your life bitching and moaning about it.
You're taking their money, just short of their freedom there is no more direct of an assault on their freedom from your bullshit.
I'm not bitching and moaning, I'm discussing.![]()
Which the majority of the US citizens support.
So how can I be foisting my beliefs on them if they already support funding PP? You're not making sense. If the majority of the US did not support PP funding you would have a case. They do. You do not.
You have a very funny way of discussing things. Most people would call it bitching and moaning.
Not the ones that vote, so fuck them that's what they get for not voting.
Your team didn't get off it's ass and vote so suck it. Better luck next time.
The majority don't support funding PP.
And funding PP is taking money from people, that's foisting your beliefs upon all, doesn't matter if they win the democratic vote.
Not funding PP is just not doing anything, and not foisting anything on anyone.
No, most people call it ripping your emotional garbage a new one![]()
Sure....too bad they don't vote.
Or, to be precise, too bad not enough of them voted or voted for that interest.
Perhaps they will be motivated to in the midterms. We shall see.
In the meantime, perchance you, BotanyBoy may enjoy a lesson on the interconnectedness and cooperation within a forest. It may serve as some food for thought.
Glad there are more chicas in this thread. For years so many women have avoided the politics/general board because the right wing male posters are a bunch of bullies. I can get called all kinds of names by these butt hurt right wing men but it doesn't really faze me because I expect it from them, they are like cornered animals.
I think many women across the country are fed up with these right wing men who make up most Congress dictating what we should do with our reproductive system. We need to spam them with phone calls and mail, show our disapproval.
But somehow speaking up against this injustice somehow means you are anti-male as if we are the ones who are belligerent.
Women's health affects all of us.
