The unemployment number, as you know, is totally fiction

4.7 percent unemployment ? That is the biggest joke there is in this country. The unemployment rate is probably 20 percent, but I will tell you, you have some great economists that will tell you it's a 30, 32.

And the highest I've heard so far is 42 percent. I've seen numbers of 24 percent. I actually saw a number of 42 percent unemployment. Forty-two percent.

It was 0% under the almighty Obama, now it's 30% because trump? Lol

What a partisan dipshit.

The numbers are phony. These are all phony numbers. Numbers given to politicians to look good. These are phony numbers.

Discuss != establish.

True, but when someone says "your stats are wrong" you can't point to your stats as proof that they're right.

Honestly, you need to actually think about the crap you post. It makes you look foolish and degrades the quality stuff you post to the realm of "some more useless and ridiculous shit he spewed."

You asked for "the real number" and I provided it; the burden is on you to prove it wrong.

I certainly don't believe the numbers they are feeding us up here in Canada.
When everybody you talk to says national sales are down and you see pretty much zero construction its hard to believe things are booming.

Maybe in a few select spots the government feeds but most of the country sucks.

Also, why would they be putting billions into infrastructure to boost a already booming economy....something stinks.

Did you fall on your head?

BB is a massive head wound Harry type. What's your excuse?

I've never found a situation where I needed one. I'm more than happy to point out where you fucked up and derailed the logic train. For theological and scientific purposes of course.

You hear a 5 percent unemployment rate. It's such a phony number. That number was put in for presidents and for politicians so that they look good to the people.

Also, why would they be putting billions into infrastructure to boost a already booming economy....

Perhaps because the infrastructure you have now is old and crumbling, like in the U.S.? An economic boom is the best time to fix that; it's when you can best afford it.

It needs some work but the speil is that the economy is faltering so they are going deep into debt to try and spend their way to affluence and infrastructure is a good place to spend.

They are also encouraging everybody to live in a big city so that infrastructure is cheaper....I just don't get it

You will note I said specifically "From what I remember".

You were spectacular in discovering a way to debunk my figures but you didn't even BOTHER to use the figures you discovered to determine what the real unemployment number is.

So, who is stupid? Me for misremembering the math from a statistician? Or you for being too lazy to do more than throw rocks from the cheap seats?

Moron. You doubt my numbers but YOUR OWN FIGURES prove you're an idiot.

9.6% unemployed blacks "nearly double" the unemployed whites. 9.6 + 4.8 = 14.4% unemployment rates for only blacks and whites. Add in the rest of the unemployed minorities and see where that gets you.

Did I mention you're a MORON!

Not only did you make up statistics, but you're pretty stupid at math as well.

There are roughly four times as many white folks as black folks in the USA. Whites make up roughly 62% of the population, Blacks 14%. For you to state that you simply "add the two numbers together" when whites make up 72% of your sample (62/62+14) is ridiculous.

Moron. You doubt my numbers but YOUR OWN FIGURES prove you're an idiot.

You asked for "the real number" and I provided it; the burden is on you to prove it wrong.

No, you provided the statistic which is being discussed as being wrong. That, by definition, is not "the real number" since it is being debated as to it's accuracy.

Unemployment:

The Bureau of Labor Statistics also calculates six alternate measures of unemployment, U1 through U6, that measure different aspects of unemployment:[42]

U1:[43] Percentage of labor force unemployed 15 weeks or longer.
U2: Percentage of labor force who lost jobs or completed temporary work.
U3: Official unemployment rate per the ILO definition occurs when people are without jobs and they have actively looked for work within the past four weeks.[44]
U4: U3 + "discouraged workers", or those who have stopped looking for work because current economic conditions make them believe that no work is available for them.
U5: U4 + other "marginally attached workers", or "loosely attached workers", or those who "would like" and are able to work, but have not looked for work recently.
U6: U5 + Part-time workers who want to work full-time, but cannot due to economic reasons (underemployment).

None of these measures count people who are and should be out of the labor force entirely, such as children, full-time students, retirees, prisoners, the disabled, etc.
