What is your tolerance level?

I have zero tolerance for boorishness and machismo. Whenever someone tries to impose authority by projecting fake strength like that, my usual reaction is to just shut down, roll my eyes, turn my back to them and walk away. I make exceptions for people in legal autority out of self preservation. Not a good idea when interacting with the police for instance. But I have lost jobs that way, when I have encountered an asshole boss.

Also:
Low cold tolerance. Bit of a wuss, to be honest.
No pain tolerance. Total and complete wuss.

I don't know how intolerant I may or may not be, but people who ask for opinions then get all 14 kinds of offended when the opinions offered don't match up with theirs, are annoying.

Some yahoo called me a couple days ago to try to sell me some crap. He said, "Do you have just a second to talk about blah-blah-blah?" After two seconds I said, "No." Fucker started to talk, and I said, "bye". 'click'

Yeah I can't stand that either.
But it's also the trickle down effect: a tyranical or litigious manager also tends to get the worse out of people because they get stressed and frustrated, and some of them start taking it on each other.

I had someone calling about some service they wanted to sell me. After finding out what they were selling, I hung up. HE CALLED BACK!!! He said, "For some strange reason we were disconnected." I said I wasn't interested and hung up. Thankfully he didn't call back.

The bastards keep calling for the guy who started the company. They call him by his given name and not his nick name. I usually tell them that he's not here. And, then, I ask if they know what time it is, here.

If they get shitty, I tell them the truth. "He's Dead!"

Last time I got The Repeat Sales Call, I told them "Ok sure I've got time now. I can pretend to listen to you while you waste ten minutes on a fruitless pitch while I'm actually reading emails, and then hang up on you, or we can say goodbye now."

It got me a three second pause, a "Fair enough", and a click.

I've never met a tolerant human. There are plenty of psychotic people who say they are, but the real deal is rare.

What people mean when they claim tolerance is, they have no standards or values or convictions.

I'm a misanthrope, I dislike everyone. Just yesterday I thought of all my close relatives now dead, then I thought GOOD RIDDANCE.. People put up with up with you as long as you play patsy for their rackets. Tolerance is a racket.

I meant tolerance towards anything in life. I'm not very tolerant and I wish I was.

I was curious as to how many people how a low tolerance and how many are easy going and simply accept life tumbles.

I think I am pretty tolerant and have remained that way so far. Pain tolerance is also super high.

I recently watched 3 kids for a week, ran a business, took care of 2 dogs, and found my tolerance pushed once when the middle child told me that he was not going to school. Preface that with me telling him he had to spend Friday night at his grandparents because I had to be on the road doing snow removal for his father's company in the wee hours of the morning. I was already stressed by the three call a day I was receiving g from his workaholic father from out of the country, taking care of everything that came in and topped with a snow event and overtime for everyone?

I had tears in my eyes when the little suckered acquiesced. I have never been happier that a week is in the past as I was that Monday night!

Maybe my tolerance for children has slightly decreased.

I bet I know what you're doing now. No snow (or very little) way up north. You need a break, a drink, a night off!
