Your welcome. One of my favourites. Left it on a bus years ago. Can't find one in any of the used book shops in town.
Interesting....Book copyright date is 2015, but Anderson died in 2001.

Seldom do you see a book with a plot that starts on the cover page.....

Don't even worry about all the salt and crap they spray on the roads eating away the metal and rubber on the thing. I am sure that will never happen.

Certainly not on the subframes; those little dodge caliber based jeeplettes have subframes that are 100% impervious to rust forever.

"Idiocracy". ;)

I've seen that. Decent movie. The time travel aspect is minor to the point of the movie though. They only travel to the future with no possible chance of return and no opportunity to change events that have already happened.

Some of my personal favorites:

The Back To The Future trilogy (Because classic)

Millennium by John Varley

Deja Vu

Predestination (I originally heard about this one in a forum post many years ago and was pleasantly surprised to find it was made into a movie.)

I'm incased in ice.

Many are cold, but few are frozen! - Teh Bible

It was 21 degrees and windy as hell last night.

My neighborhood has feral cats, I did something last night I swore I'd never do: I opened the garage door about a three inch crack (just enough for them to squeeze under and and old towel and an old blanket next to the interior door to my house (warmest place).

This morning there were two cats snoring in my garage.

in fact, they don't travel to the future at all. they just get frozen for 500 years and then wake up in the future.

Yeah, you are right. What could possibly go wrong with spraying the underbelly of a car with salt? Seals. Rubber. Metal. Electrical. I am sure all of that will be just fine.

Just fine.

Dont hit the seal then!

I never actually expect the snow when they say we'll get it. I, more often than not, prepare for it, but I don't really believe it'll happen until it does.

Has no- one heard of oiling a vehicle, annually? Or using a pressure washer or automatic car wash on a regular basis?

There are hundreds of thousands of Canadian and Border State drivers who manage to keep their vehicles roadworthy for literally decades. Our percentage of old cars on the road may be lower than the "Sunbelt", but not hugely so, anymore.

Just st my unscientific observations...
