I'm compiling my two threads & articles into one.
Interesting to read a perspective that differs from the typical Hillary-Obama versus Trump electoral split.

Former Lifelong Democrat Admits "Obama Is A Failed President"
http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2016-1...iled-president

"Obama is a failure not because he wasn’t sufficiently conservative or ‘Christian' (as Republicans had constantly accused him of having been), but instead because he wasn’t sufficiently progressive (nowhere close to being a progressive) — and, in many ways, he was actually far more conservative than any of his duplicitous campaign-rhetoric had pretended him to be.

Obama’s failure was all his own — it’s not because of the good things that Republicans had blocked him from doing; it is instead because of the horrible things (such as his failed TPP, TTIP and TISA trade-treaties, and his successful 2011 killing of Gaddafi, and 2014 coup in Ukraine) that were central to his actual agenda — a conservative, even reactionary, agenda, which favored the interests of the hundreds of billionaires who control U.S.-based international corporations, above the interests of the 300+ million American people, whom the U.S. President is supposed to be serving."

---------------------------------------

The article then goes on to mention some of the reasons why they consider this to be so
(these are my own bullet points, not quotes):

1.Internal policies
- Having come into power right after the 2008 crash, one would have been expected am increase in financial institutions fraud investigations or prosecutions to increase. Yet they dsoared.
- Despite the economic gains, the level of inequality remained the same instead of de decreasing as one might expect after an economic crash.
- The "alternative work arrangements (as in americans who are involuntary working part-time) account for a large part of his economic growth.
Raise in poverty in house districts
- Doubling of federal debt

2.His failed TPP, TTIP and TISA trade-treaties

3.Foreign politics
- he contributed to the destructions of Lybi. and Syria, leading to an enormous number of civillians who were either killed or became reffugees
- Honduras: he kept in power the junta-regime which caused an increase in murder rate and hundreds of thousands of Hondurans to flee to the States

" Trump won the election because he serves the interests of the establishment."

Trump Is Exactly Where The Elites Want Him
http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2016-1...lites-want-him

"I have seen endless theories over the past several months on all the ways in which the global elites would sabotage the Trump campaign. The assumption in this instance was that Trump is “anti-establishment” and, therefore, a threat to the globalists.

How did Trump win within a system we know has been rigged for decades?
You’ll hear hundreds of theories and rationalizations on Trump’s miraculous victory, but a reason you will almost never hear is also the most likely one:
Trump won the election because he serves the interests of the establishment. Trump won because he is a fake.

The first and worst sign that Trump is not anywhere near “anti-establishment” has been his complete reversal of his original “drain the swamp” rhetoric.
Trump is not only NOT draining the swamp that is the Washington D.C. and corporate elitist revolving door, he is adding even more creatures of varying ghoulishness.
The bottom line is, Trump has already LIED to his political base. He has surrounded himself with globalists and financial gatekeepers when he originally criticized Clinton for the same behavior."

Thanks for taking my thread seriously.
The last two turned into a freak show

So I cut to the chase...

Feel free to copy my replies into this one.

I'm the guy who was making sense, because, I'm a guy.

Politics is simple: Create tides that lift all boats. Anything else are crime mobs at war for customers.

Indeed. You're a man of few words but they always have meaning.

Another quote reflecting the reporter's view as to How and Why, to him, the apparently chaotic presidential election seemed scripted:

Trump Is Exactly Where The Elites Want Him
http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2016-12-30/trump-exactly-where-elites-want-him

"The other ingenious aspect of the Trump campaign is really who he is running against — Hillary Clinton, a rabidly liberal candidate even more hated than Barack Obama. Donald Trump appears to be the perfect antithesis to Hillary Clinton. …
the real question is, is Trump a reflection of the frustration and defiance of the conservative population, or, is he a clever ruse by the establishment to co-opt and placate the conservative population before we rebel?

In later articles covering the election I went on to give Trump a chance. I stated that I had little doubt that he would win the election and that this would be followed by an economic crisis, probably triggered early in his first term. Conservative movements would be set up as scapegoats for a crash the globalists had created. Today, I no longer hold this view.. " ( (and the repirter goes on to talk about all Trump's Goldman-Sachs appointees - quite at odds with his pre-election campaign rhetoric)

Damn! You just added to my reading list (not that I complain, since you always suggest good resources).

I'll read it after I finish with these:

I'm a bit taken with that alternatively media website since Pairaclites recommended it (to some other posters). Some of the articles there are quite whavkadoodle, but there are other articles that come up with really good ideas. And even if they might be wrong (who knows) they certainly challenge one's thinking and make them cobsider a more global perspective

Machiavelli
A conspiracy is a group of malcontents each of whom by exposure has the means to be contented.

This is Alex Jones territory...

It looks to me more like he went to competent people to help him run a competent administration. Most of them seem to be from well outside of the political establishment, but yes, they might be part of the "establishment of success."

(Dual meaning there, think about it for a minute.)

When he decided to rule by executive order, bypassing Congress and in effect, legislating without the legislature he was following in the footsteps of his Heroes, Woodrow Wilson, FDR and LBJ. He was a thoroughly a Fabian Socialist as any one of his heroes.

And this is at the root of the current of the current Progressive Democrat consternation at have won another battle against the Constitution, limited government and the ability to control our lives, they were happy and contented at the progress gained, but in true Bastiat myopia, they never once considered that all of this new power and reach for the Executive Branch would ever go over to the other Party...
;) ;)
Four the next four years, they are going to pay a lot of lip service to the overreach of the Executive Branch and the value and beauty of limited government and checks and balances. The only problem there is that the Republicans elected the second coming of Teddy Roosevelt and this guy will be as arrogant as his predecessor.

I will comment on these once I'm finished with the other stuff
