Are pancakes not a thing is Britain? I had never thought about it.
pancakes, yeah, but ours are thinner, more like crepes, and not eaten in the quantity or frequency americans seem to. basic thin pancake served most often with lemon and sugar, but the american-style homemade ones look fab.

in fact, i don't think breakfast in the uk is nearly such as big thing as it looks to me it is stateside... it's grab a coffee and out the door most the time, or some quick toast/bacon sammich or oats/cereal sorta thing.

That's quite interesting.

The big breakfast things is mostly a weekend thing here. Most people are running out the door like your explained. A lot of restaurants have big brunch spreads on Sundays here though.

Vegetarian options for the meat based items on the plate.
Completely different flavor profile.

Breakfast for dinner ?

Add a good handful of roughly chopped, cooked bacon to your pancake batter.

A dab of butter on the top of the warm stack, with a healthy pour of silky maple (NOT pancake) syrup.

Get your buttermilk pancake on!

You know the drill.

Put something warm down your gullet, then trudge around in the cold.

Stick to your ribs and keep you warm.
