No, because I only wore it long for him. I have always preferred my hair shorter and it was shorter when we met. I changed it for him. Now if someone (anyone) were to tell me they wanted me to have long hair I would remind them I had shorter hair when they met me and they are welcome to find someone who better suits their wants.

Yes, exactly my point....because your ex husband dictated long hair, now you'll never wear it long again.

He's still controlling you, capiche?

You are quite the contrary sort and obviously enjoy being so and won't be appeased until someone plays with you. If it brings you some sort of joy in believing my ex-husband still controls me via my hair length than so be it. Anything to end this quarrelsome exchange.

Clarity and contrary are two different things completely. :)

I think you now see my point, thanks for clarifying.

37' that's not even below freeing! Long sleeves and legs with a wind breaker jacket will suffice along side long fingered gloves. Wear too much and you will sweat yourself into a chill.

37 is not cold. It's maybe a bit cool but hardly cold!

You are neglecting 12 mph worth of wind chill (at a minimum) arising simply from forward speed. At 37° F, that is the equivalent of 29° F. for four or more hours.

Given the fact that I may be many hours from shelter, one would be foolhardy not to consider (and plan for) the worst case.

happy you're busy creating, mister
did you ever finish the parsloes canvas?
..
It's hanging outside the loo. I heard/read that paintings are never finished, you just stop working on them; still pause sometimes when passing, just to stare :) Another reason filters rock, thank you for the photo

ah, like writing, the art lies in knowing when to back off and leave well alone

not an applied filter, just the camera reacting to the dimmer light levels :)

You're actually painting Lady Funk, right?

I won't tell.

When do you finally throw in the towel and go see the doctor for a cough?

I'm one of those winter bike commuters. At 23F I would add a base layer of long underwear. So at -5C I am in bike shorts long underwear top and bottom, jersey, fatigue trousers and a cycling jacket with long fingered gloves. Nothing bulky or insulated just an extra thin layer. At -10C I go to insulated gloves and wear a bandana to keep chill of chin. And pull down the one I wear for a sweatband to cover my ears.

If hours away from shelter then pack another layer, don't wear it. Cycling in winter is like cross country skiing. Look at X-country skiers. Thin layers of wicking material.

29F is nothing dangerous. 5 is getting into risky territory. And that is more due to risk of sweating and getting chilled.

What the fuck?

It's your hair. You like it the way you do. Case rested.

I'm your friend and I do love and care about you. However, this whiny 'oh woe is me' crap is annoying me greatly. I wish you'd get a grip on yourself. I hope you get better VERY soon. That therapist of yours better work miracles on Thursday.

Damn, wish you felt better NOW! :(
