My little attempt to recreate Venus of Arles.
Ladies that posted here, I so admire you ALL.
Its hard but fun, specially I had to loose my glasses.
But here is is......including the apple and leaf![]()
Stay still. Michelangelo is getting some marble in to start his next masterpiece.

Are you about to swat me? I'm only admiring the art and wanted to touch the enchanting statue.

I ate all my apples so I used a pear and I don't own a hand mirror so it's a penlight in my left hand, but you can't really see it, so no matter!
JR, my knees thank you for his pose!!
With the set and the seemingly natural light, this pic reminds me of the serial pics Muybridge took of women going through various motions, a very pretty motion in this case.

Venus of Aries goes to the beach.

Very pretty, and do I see an opening to a little cabana where I can change?

I'm one behind here. I'm still crouching. Tali, Mara and Icy, I take my hat off to each of you. This was the hardest yet, both in terms of holding the pose, and in getting to something I felt confident enough in to post.
Gulp.
I have three renditions of this.
This one is the closest to the pose, I think:

This one is from above and behind (and filtered hugely):
And this one is kind of an outtake, when I couldn't hold the pose on my legs and overbalanced, but I think it's actually a much better position for me

You're right: #1 is the most faithful to the original, but #3 offers your own variation that excels the original.
