I have over the years written every type of story the loving wives crowd riles against or for. At each turn, there were those who loved it and those that hated it and those who thought with just a few changes it would be a good story. I even wrote one where the husband killed everyone. His wife, her lover and her lovers wife. I got great comments...most loved it. One asked how I could just kill someone like that?

I have continued to write loving wives, but have turned off voting and comments.

Would the comments have been the same if the seducer had been Andy? If a man had picked her up, taken her home, shown aggression and contempt (my pet, good girl, it's not just about you) for her and her life, contempt for her husband, and told her it was going to be a long-term affair, would the comments be gushing about how beautiful and natural it was?

The romance and pure sex had disappeared for poor Debbie, but lucky Cecil who gets up a 6, leaves at 7:15, probably gets home after six, gets all the romance and pure sex he needs in his nearly 12-hour work day providing for his family. And we are shown no remorse or concern for what will happen to her family as long as she gets to have her fulfilling affair.

Ann is obviously calculating and manipulative, a predator. Why do we find this delightful when, if she were a man, we would find him despicable?

The author did a good job of performing the seduction. I just don't understand why everyone finds it warm and fuzzy.

Any one expecting a morality play from erotica flummoxes me...Did some woman's softer touch steal this reader's pump and snore?

This is not the troll comment I was picturing. I found it reasonable and well thought out. Maybe a bit moralistic, but not too bad. From what I see, the commentor is simply pointing out a double standard and not trashing your story. They even mention that the story was well written.

I'll add a caveat I haven't read the story. From where I stand, it seems more of a observation than a moral judgment.
