Morning all.
Another day of just a few hours of sleep. I bought a new game server so before I invite people to it I have to be sure it's all fun and balanced keeping the aspect of fear and a challenge. I have a few mods to install.
I'll take screenshots and make you Spacesters get a glimpse of my pixel world. I know you can't wait.

Morning all, it's overcast here but temps are great. I got 12.8k steps in at the park but it wasn't much fun. Some poor guy decided to off himself just as I was headed into the park so that blocked off part of the park. I don't know what it is about parks but they sure are a favorite end it all place for troubled people.
Oh wow that sucks. Last year I was on a walk and witnessed a woman trying to commit suicide. Her boyfriend called the cops who were circling the area trying to find her in the dark, and I helped them find which bridge she was under. Thankfully, this person was saved and all was well in the end.

Yeah, if I'd gotten there just a few minutes earlier I'd have walked right into it. I feel sorry for the Police Officers who were there that watched the guy shoot himself. That kind of scene stays with you forever and some people can't handle it.
I'm glad you were able to help them find the person last year. Kudos to you.

thought we would be moving the RV tonight (just a few spots down - nicer spot) but they put it off until tomorrow!

trying to. I haven't seen the bears yet. The new spot will be closer to the lake - further from the woods. They took away the trash bin they destroyed last week. Hoping that they would stay away from this area.
I did get lost today - had to detour to get propane and missed a turn - so the 2 gps's I had set sent me in another direction, but it was a pretty detour - you could see the mountains and passed really close to the start of the Appalachian Trail. Eventually made it back to the RV.

All the time I lived in VA, I only checked out that trail once.
It's gorgeous, at least the part I checked out was.

ever since my son was in Boy Scouts and we did lots of hiking it has been on my bucket list to at least do a day hike on either the PCT or ATC. Also, when looking into going to Ireland/Scotland - found a trip that spends a few days on one of the Trails over there. .... one of these days..
