Unfortunately the UK politicians are using the problem in GREECE to push their own agenda.

For someone that was paying attention when hurricane Katrina happened in New Orleans the media reported on every rumor. Many of them later turned out to be untrue.

Can this possibly be happening? Yes but we need to take a deep breath and wait for more information. One person doing a bad act does not a crisis make for a general situation. It does not mean it's a trend among the population. It just might be rumors.

I can understand how some people feel it is too awful a situation to wait but what do we really know?

Except that Greece has played little to no role in the destruction of Syria and afaik isn't involved in the war.

Whereas the UK is a major plotter and player.

Children have always been targeted by deviants or traffickers.

So why would a reffugee camp be any different?
In fact, it offers even greater oppportunity for antisocials (be they reffugees, local greeks or so on): people packed like sardines with men, women and children in close proximity, children without a family member to protect them.

Plus reports came from credible resources like Red Cross representatives, who filed complaints to the govt. and EU.

The Guardian is a serious publication, and it wouldn't take the chance of discrediting itself by taking rumours at face value. Plus it's a liberal paper (if I'm not mistaken); in any case, most articles that I've seen so far from them advocated for reffugees and condemned islamophobia.

It may have been and wouldn't in the past.

These days it is a blatant propaganda organ. It discredits itself on a daily basis.
