Many women would prefer to be full time moms

The number of women staying home to care for their kids full time has increased since the great recession of the late 2000s, as has the number who chose to work part time rather then full time so they can be home for their children more often.

However, these numbers remain a significant minority. Despite this polls consistently show many more would like to stay home if economic circumstances permitted it and even more would prefer to work part time rather than full time (this is actually the largest preference group).

We never hear these facts from the femanist media or the politicians of either party. No efforts are made to help facilitate this such as granting the same tax credit to parents who care for their own children that goes to those who dump them in daycare centers.
