Justice League: Next (OOC)

Oh wait did we change the plan at some point and I lost the narrative? Cus I thought our Earth was located in a strange patch of space. Not that we are basically the Exiles.
 
There are different Earths on different vibrational frequencies, and because the wormhole collapses in on itself, it spits us back out at a different frequency, thus meaning we are out if sync with our original world and at first have no way to know which frequency will sync us back up with our prime Earth. Similar to Sliders in a way.
 
Think of having a radio and the channels get scrambled so the only way to find your favorite channel isnto to surf through them and see which one sounds familiar.
 
Well, i was waiting for everyone to post, but since this is not moving forward, I'll make my next post by the end of the week to get us through the wormhole. I was hoping we could have an epic battle to start us off, but it's going too slow, so I'll move us forward, probably on Friday.

Sorry. Finals. I'm out of school now, but I'm too tired to post now. So you can go ahead and post if you want. Or wait for me. I'll probably be on later tonight or tomorrow.

Well, technically, Raven can't teleport them out of the ship due to the shields, but it's cool, I won't bitch too much ;).

Well, I'm not wrong :p. I did mention the shields have a teleportation dampener, which is why she could only teleport herself and Beast Boy into the hangar. The only way she could teleport multiple soldieRS from deep inside the ship to outside would be if the shields were down. But we can just say the shields were still fluctuating.

And maybe Raven teleported then into the walls?
 
It's okay, you don't have to change it to have her teleport them into the wall -- we'll roll with what you posted.
 
We can just say she used the fluctuations in the shield to find gaps to teleport them out.

So, I think we just have Kitten and Merc to post, if I'm not mistaken? And I almost forgot I brought Doctor Light in -- need to make sure I include him in my next post, haha. I figured it would be good to have a tech guy on the team. I'm gonna message the others and give them till the end of the day to post, and then this evening I will move us along regardless.
 
Actually the easiest answer is that Nightwing was some combination of wrong and imprecise when he said there was a shield protecting the ship. There is a shield around the ship. Not on it.

Something similar comes up in Young Justice when it is very specifically mentioned that the shields they put up would prevent people from coming TO Earth. You'd still be able to Zeta all around the Earth because you're already inside.

But she teleported them OUTSIDE the ship, supposedly outside the shields. THROUGH the shields. But even so, I did mention they dampened teleportation within the shields, which is why Raven couldn't teleport right onto the bridge. Think of the shield as a bubble, and within the bubble, any attempt to teleport is dampened and the person is forced to rematerialize very quickly, which is why Nightwing suggested the hangar, so she didn't inadvertently rematerialize inside a wall. The hangar was the largest open space near the edge of the ship, and thus the edge of the shields. :D.

I was thinking more a bubble around the ship. You could be outside the ship but inside the shields at the same time. But you are correct about the bridge part. Meh I don't have a quick fix.
 
That's why I just said it's easier to leave it as is and just assume Raven sensed fluctuations in the shield and teleported them out through that. This way no edits are necessary and we can move on.
 
Hey kids, sorry for dropping off the radar there, I had a crapton of work dropped on me just as my health took a dive, so the past week has been a chore at best for me. But I'm back now and it looks like you were all kind enough to not race ahead without me, I'm going to refrain from posting since it might mess with whatever Jeff is whipping up and I don't want to delay the thread any more than it has been already. Once progression is done I'll get something up there though, putting myself in the headspace of jokey little Beastboy will be a welcome reprieve.
