My Little Pony...

Yoln

Any group that ends up with a dating site, that to which ensures breeding has my respect.
I humbly awate the adorable hoodies to show up at Spencer's.
And I envoke chAos upon all of you.

I'm sorry, I couldn't hear most of that guy's fairly accurate assessment of the episode over him stating the media sticks to leftist agendas. I could have sworn that Batman, Ironman and Green Arrow all prove that hollywood agrees. The best super power is being so ignorantly rich that nobody can ever fuck with you. I must have missed the part where GI Joe isn't a halfhour Army recruitment show that has been going in one form or another for nearly thirty years while I was at it.

"And knowing is half the battle."

Yes to all of this.

But it's kind of fun to point to this episode when some paint-by-numbers rightie goes on a "My Little Feminist Leftist Agenda Pony" rant. Then it becomes, "Um...didn't see that coming."

Oh, and carry on. I mostly just hate that I live in a world where 24 ran 8 seasons of fuck yeah torture's awesome if you think otherwise you want the terrorists to win and tons of other stuff and still have to listen to how Hollywood is turning America into faggots or something.

Seriously. Hollywood is far more diversified.

Speaking of which, here's Dr. Who bowling with the boys from The Big Lebowski. Because it was about damn time.

Hollywood can be quite diverse when it's trying to be sure.

And that episode was bonkers. Just a 30 minute "hey guys, we know you're out there and we love you" episode. I mean it confirms Dr.Whooves IS a Timelord, Octavia and Vinyl Scratch are friends, Lyra sits like people. I might have to sit through that again soon.

Hell the only thing they missed was Trollestia.

“What’s your favorite My Little Pony?” Ted Cruz asks his tiny supporter, a little girl who is wearing a Rainbow Dash beanie. ”Twilight,” she says. “I have two daughters, and they love Twilight,” Cruz says, before adding, with a grin: “My favorite, though, is Applejack. I just think she’s funny.”

Funny how?

A Republican loves AJ. Why am I less than surprised? (Not that she's bad.) The real question is if he supports King Sombra.

Well that's was worth the wait. Though now we're starting to run out of long term goals for these characters. Which is strange cus most shows don't HAVE long term goals. But as when that hits we'll have the following.

1. Twilight "Graduated" from pupil to peer of Celestia (a literal fucking GOD
2. Rarity: Famous dress maker with at least one shop in Canterlot (the Capital) as well as known in Manehatten.
3. Wonderbolt Dashie
4. Fluttershy: No obvious goal
5. Pinkie Pie: No obvious goal
6. Applejack running Sweet Apple Acres. Killing off Grannie Smith and dedicating 2-4 episodes of assorted "Change sucks" spread between Apple Jack, Sweetie Bloom and Big Mac doesn't strike me as particularly implausible even if the show hasn't yet touched directly on death. (It is heavily implied and stated by the creators that AJ's parents died at some point prior to the show proper and the two stars that flew overhead at the end of Apple Familiy Reunion were symbolic of them.

Also now that Equestria Games is confirmed to have taken place at the same time as Starlight Glimmer's time wars it's a bit past time for an obligatory cross over of SOME sort. With the most obvious being Sunset coming over to help with something.

I went to see Lauren Faust on a panel not long ago. Per AJ's parents: "Timberwolves got `em." (She was knocking back cocktails at the time, so, grain of salt. And she was laughing. Very cool lady.)

In the season 6 premiere, you can see a Changeling headed into the Crystal Empire at the very end, so another invasion is pretty much a lock. Plus, Hasbro is getting ready to launch "Guardians of Equestria", which is a toy line where the ponies shoot weapons. So, it's all relative, but...looks like things are going to be getting a shade darker as a run-up to the 2017 film. "Guardians of Equestria" also has a copyright option for a separate series - lots of possibilities there.

Also, I find it interesting that the first full CMC episode with them and their new marks will be around them arguing about what the marks mean. They could've skipped this altogether and had an episode where they help someone(pony) figure out their own destiny, but they're not going to. It's a more challenging narrative; kudos to the writers.

Well seeing how the episode where they GOT the cutie mark was them helping Diamond Tiara figure her place that would have been a bit of a waste for a first episode. And the "What do they mean" question was forshadowed in the S5 finale when Twilight states this has NEVER happened before. Good call for them.

Timberwolves seems as plausible as anything else. Though if I'm not mistaken we still haven't seen Dashie or Fluttershy's folks. Or Scoots.

As for changlings apparently they aren't ALL bad depending on how seriously you choose to take that "Fanfic" Episode. I mean one was at Cranky Doodle's wedding. Still seeing Chryssie again would definitely be nice.

So, interestingly enough:

*We've seen Dash's daddy in one scene
*No folks for Scoots but, according to Lauren, she wasn't meant to be an orphan
*No Flutters parents, but her brother is about to make his debut

Oh, you mean Kevin? :D

Yeah. She is beloved by the writers, and by Hasbro for her toys (a new one will be out in September). So, all signs point to more of her in the future. I'm gonna say this season + the film.

The movie director is also a big fan of The Great and Powerful Trixie, so I think she's about to return, too.

I'm not sure there is anything left that I need or want from this show aside from a satisfying finale.

And I missed when we saw Dashie's dad. And crap has it been that long since Trixie and the Alicorn Amulet? I guess it's a good thing I enjoy her HuMane version so much that I don't miss her as much as I aught.

I'm really looking forward to Emily Blunt and Kristin Chenoweth in the film. They're old-school pros at animation and will nail their roles, whatever they are. Chenoweth will also having a full live orchestra backing her when she sings.

And I missed when we saw Dashie's dad.

Brief glance: http://mlp.wikia.com/wiki/Rainbow_Blaze

Betcha he shows up for Dash's induction into the Wonderbolts.

She's pairing up with Glim Glam. Which is perfect.

Man, I don't even know what to think about this thread and the participants.

Haven't read it all so if it's been mentioned, sorry...

There is a fascinating documentary...Bronies. Y'all may know of it...guys who love MLP and have a national convention. Not a possible thing before the Internet I don't think, but is full of love and charm.

I've seen one of the documentaries. There are a few of them out there.

As for conventions there have been cons for longer than the internet has been huge. The question is if MLP would have pulled it. And as far as I can tell MLP caught fire with a very unusual case of someone watched an episode and said "wow this is so much better than I expected." And he told two friends. And less than a year later people were arguing over who was best pony.

And the real answer to that question is almost always whomever the writers want that particular week.

Which one?

There are three documentaries: two fairly-good-budgeted ones, and a cheaper one.

My favorite is the Morgan Spurlock-produced, Brent Hodge-directed A Brony Tale, which Robert De Niro said was his "must see" at Tribeca.

Huh, De Niro, eh? Pretty cool.

This one was on Netflix and sort of followed one of the women who did a voice through to the convention. I'll check which one it is and get back and let you know which one it was.
