I'd recommend reaching out to your doctor, or at least one of the on-line, or over the phone Men's health companies like Hims or BlueChews, etc.. They'll have you speak with a licensed prescribing professional who will ask you some basic questions to assess your health, then prescribe Sildenafil (viagra) or Tadalafil (Cialis) . AND I would recommend trying it at least once or twice before your "event" to make sure it doesn't upset your stomach, etc..

I would NOT buy anything that is not prescribed by a licensed professional. There's a lot of garbage supplements being sold that purport to help with ED and the best you can hope for is that they don't make you sick. Stay away from them...

I have a long standing opinion ( and I use it with humour which you failed to get) that MFM threesome is a " gay sex with a witness". I am however a full supporter of FMF threesome as my description below shows.

Viagra (Sidenalfil) is available as 25mg, 50mg, and 100mg tablets
Cialis (Tadalafil) is available as 2.5mg, 5mg, 10mg

You really need to experiment to find the right dose for you. Whichever one you choose, start with a low strength tablet, i.e. 25mg Viagra or 5mg Cialis, but 100mg Viagra or taking more than one tab is not a good idea.

Side effects such as headaches, blocked nose, dizziness and 'blue vision' are quite common with Viagra. Cialis can have similar side effects, but they are rarer and, when they do occur, they are usually less uncomfortable.

Both of these drugs lose most of their effect if you have any significant amount of alcohol in your system.

I think the various options have different side effects for different people.

Viagra I found makes me super hard but the side effects are unpleasant. Headache (which I can take tabs for), hot flushes (manageable) but the heartburn is normally too much for me.
Cialis I take a 5mg dose daily and find that it works well for spontaneous sex but not quite has hard as the Viagra makes me. I do occasionally take the 20mg Cialis and that works like a champion with minimal side effects and seems to give me about 36 hours of hard on's on demand.
Livitra is definitely my best for strength of hard on. I am fortunate that I have a bit of minor flushing with passes quickly and then I am rock hard. It lasts for about 6 hours when needed.

I consulted my doctor and we worked through the options and I have never looked back.

I agree with @adlon, talk to a an actual doctor. Yes, there are risks and potential side effects, but a board certified urologist can asses your risks and help you mitigate them. And yes, the surest way to avoid the risks is to NOT take a medication. But the risks of non-treatment can be worse, even when talking about an ED medication. Being unable to get and maintain an erection can lead to depression which can make a person less apt to exercise, socialize, eat well, etc..

General advice regarding side effects. ..To better know what the side effects are of a medication and their incidence of occurrence refer to the manufacture's "Prescribing Information." All manufactures of FDA approved prescription medications must provide this. Would I personally take a medication with a bad possible side effect? Yes, if the benefit outweighs the risk. In other words, if the chance of the side effect occurring is 1/1000, but the chance of it making my life much better is 80%, then I'd take the chance. As to what you're referring to above, I've not read the PI of the Viagra or Cialis, but I'm betting the incidence of blood clots (eye or otherwise) is pretty small.

Again... Best to ask a board certified doc before deciding whether or not to take a medication.
