(p_-) Tumblr got a little overzealous today. I follow some DIY blogs for neat cooking stuff and crochet. Tumblr thought it should recommend a blog featuring a post of a small girl skinning a rabbit. Nothing like opening Tumblr and being greeted by the sight of a rabbit head sans body and surrounded by blood. Cute. Real cute.

No need for lectures on how we get meat. I get it. This is about "Surprise! We thought you'd like this dead rabbit instead of a cute crochet bunny pattern!"

I'm often weirded out by what tumblr recommends me, too. No dead rabbits so far, though. :)

It's sort of like...

Me: Ok Tumblr, I like DIY projects, cute things like bunnies, and food.

Tumblr: We've got the perfect thing!

Me: OMG! Why?!?

Tumblr: It fits all the categories.

Finally asked the sadist to beat the crap out of me. Or rather, asked him to gag me and hurt me. We haven't been able to schedule public play (where I can scream) but that's fine, I will just go for gagged and hurting.

It'll be Monday night, I think. Mainly because I'm demo bottoming a flogging class Tuesday night and he mentioned it would be fun to tell the presenter where all the ouchie bits are.

Holy fuck I need to be brutalized!

Well, I finally broke my phone yesterday. It's been in a shitty condition for over a year already, but yesterday I dropped it and now it seems to disconnect any phone calls after about two minutes for some reason. It's a good thing I hate lengthy phone calls.

To buy a new one or not, that is a very good question.

you mean as opposed to keeping an old, broken phone ?

As opposed to managing with only my work phone. Means no Lit etc on phone anymore, but on the other hand it's not such a big sacrifice really. I'm the world's laziest phone user. I almost never have it on me if I'm not home, unless I'm expecting a phone call.

I'm so tired of playing the part of a good hostess already and I still have 2.5 days left. Speaking English all the time is horrible! I really hope J turns down London.

I'm exhausted, but can't wind down enough to actually go to sleep. Might also be because it's not even 10PM yet and I've had two cups of coffee today.

There is a consideration to be weighted. :rose: I don't know if you are the same, but indecision and change can make life heavier and more tiring for me too.

Ironically G told me just yesterday he applied for a position ( that he thinks he is just out of eligibility for but he would really like) in Switzerland. If he gets it though, i will stay here. :) we have not done this sort of distance for a few years, maybe three ? I cannot remember. It could be fun, but For the living costs. :D

Why would you not go along to Switzerland? How long would he be working there?

There is more than one reason I wouldn't go,

( and I typed it out and then decided I didn't want to put it on the board) :). I'm happy to pm you about it, it's nothing dark or mysterious, it's practicalities. :)

It's not that I would mind living in Switzerland, I like it:)

I would have to beware the chocolate! My parents took a trip to Switzerland when I was a kid and brought back some wonderful treats. Oddly, no clocks. I was disappointed that they didn't get a cuckoo.

I completely understand your reasoning. Picking up and moving even under the best of circumstances is daunting.

Indecision definitely makes life heavier for me too. I have a feeling that the final decision's been made already, but J's just rechecking things just in case.

Speaking English all the time would be perfectly fine after a while, so that's not really something to consider making the decision. As it is I usually speak English maybe twice a year, so I don't really get a lot of practice. Now I have to speak English all the time, because J's friend and his non-Finnish speaking girlfriend are staying with us for the Easter. It feels like a lot, but a lot of the horribleness of English at the moment is that I don't know the friend and especially the girlfriend well at all, so that takes energy too.

And maybe if I spoke English more often, the language wouldn't feel so strange in my mouth and the sounds would start to "fit". :)

I had truly forgotten how .. ahem.. interesting it can be to go to Walmart in the sticks on a Saturday afternoon  The day before a holiday

I've been trying to nap following an Easter brunch that included gallons of coffee, wine, and mimosas. Unfortunately, my nap has been interrupted every couple of hours by the urgent need to use the bathroom. I am not amused.

I just snorted so hard that I blew a snot bubble. :)

Not enough bathroom time, too much bathroom time...
Never satisfied :p
