I adore the irony of hating hate but your post exudes it. Good thing you put those qualifiers in...religion and racism because that makes your hate ok.

You do understand don't you, that those soldiers (men and women) fought, died and suffered for our right to be free. Racists, bigots, religious zealots...everyone.

My dad was enlisted, he fought for our rights. He and my aunt grew up in the south, they lived through all the racism we read about in books. You can casually throw out "good enough for the front of the bus" because catch phrases are so meaningful and that one tells everone that you are not racist...(sarcasm) but you have no idea. My dad never said a negative thing about any race or religion. He didn't teach us to hate people. He was enlisted for 30 years and if he gave that much of his life, like so many other men and women have done, are doing and will continue to do, then you need to show some respect.

Your post doesn't honor the memory of any soldier. My dad would have looked at you the same way you look at those you hate. People like you dishonor our military and since you feel no shame, I feel very ashamed for you.

Black American warriors are more myth than real, and hadda poor reputation as soldiers for a long time. Plenty of books document their awful records.

That said, many blacks served in the US Navy during the War of 1812, and I've never read one complaint about black sailors. Andrew Jackson had no problems with black soldiers at New Orleans.

The US didn't enter the European Theater because of some noble cause about hatred and racism. In fact, it wasn't until 1944 that the US officially admitted there was anything really badly racist going on in Germany.
