Stuff

Well got the new computer and I'm upgrading it to windows 10. I've played metal gear a bit but it crashes the computer. I'm hoping the upgrade fixes the issue. On the plus side this one is running much cooler. Cpu temps average in the upper 50s low 60s Celsius

Ulaven has upgraded. I can't upgrade on my work machine, verboten because it will screw up all their systems.

I've still avoided upgrading, having watched Ulaven do it and then do a bunch of random swearing about it.

May your fans live long and prosper.

I think Metal Gear is what's making my son's computer stutter too.

Touch and Go

Cynthia became a hard knock at the door wanting to know if the job was a reality, all the while taking night classes just to reassure her? Wanting to see the bird sanctuary, the tide pools, go on a outing, and take a boat trip, but in her own time? Your beautiful and sexy too!

I've taken up trying to grow fruit trees, seedlings germinated in potting soil mix I've had some success with apricots, but they get to about 6in wilt and die? Not to be out done next plums and cherries.

"The story is that the Spaniards asked the Indians for the name of the land they had just discovered and on hearing the predictable replies to the effect of "I don't understand what you said", "those are our houses" gave the land names based on what they had heard: Yucatán, meaning "I don't understand you" for the whole "province" (or island, as they thought), and Catoche, meaning "our houses", for the settlement and the cape where they had debarked."

Oooo. I love those, Zumi!

I surfed into them and they arrested my eyes. Just perfect. :D

Even though it's from a 2008 calendar, they seem to be portraying the '80s & early '90s lifestyle. Camera with film roll. A cassette Walkman. Reading books, not a screen. Sightseeing, enjoying living in the moment with casual vices. Almost makes me wanna cry, because yes, we were content with having fun on that level for a good while.

And I think that's frickin Wilson on a frickin volleyball and how frickin cool is that!?

I just heard on a podcast that the hotel where that was filmed is still making loads of money from being a horror tour spot.

And they just put in a hedge maze and people are complaining it isn't tall or scary enough.

you mean, "The shining?"
Strange… I generally enjoy horror movies -they give you a bit of an adrenalin boost-.
But I hated that movie, despite my appreciation for how well it was made. Because it made me feel kinda depressed.

Yup, The Shining.

I don't think there's been a very good adaptation of a King book yet because a lot of his content is descriptive and cerebral.

I don't like Stanley Kubrick at all and I think he hammers at things that should have a more subtle approach.

Most of my experience of his movies is "I GET IT PLEASE STOP"

Best fuckin' horror movie ever. Okay, top 5 at worst.

I don't care what Steve says about it.

Have to stop at Steve and definitely quote "Flight of the Conchords"

"They call me the Hip-Hopapotamus
Flows that glow like phosphorous
Poppin' off the top of this esophagus
Rockin' this metropolis
I'm not a large water-dwelling mammal
Where did you get that preposterous hypothesis?
Did Steve tell you that, perchance?
Mmmph, Steve."
