According to local paper WalesOnline, the menu included local delicacies such as Pantysgawn goats cheese and roasted pepper timbale served with basil oil to start and a main course of herb crusted rump of Welsh lamb, Pembrokeshire potato fondant, rosemary and redcurrant jus.

Pudding also featured Welsh produce and consisted of a chocolate torte served with Halen Mon salted caramel cream - all of which was washed down with the regiment's own wine.

Who cares, if a commoner child gets a concussion ? There is pudding.

Today was my weekly shopping trip to Safeway. I always go on Fridays because the deli puts all the old stuff on sale for $5.

Anywho - the bakery makes this most excellent bread. It's all grainy and seedy and earthy tasting. The nice lady behind the counter smiled at me as I grabbed my loaf. So being the people-person I am, I decided to strike up a conversation.

I ask, "do you really make this bread here?" She looked at me like I was cursing the baby Jesus (the Judean, not the Mexican). "Of course we make it here. Every morning", says she. In a mildly hostile tone.

Now normally I'd take this as an opportunity to tweek and prod a bit... but I was so taken aback I was at a loss for a witty retort. That almost never happens.

So I put my loaf in the buggy and walked away.

In other news, I bought three different species of fish, and was rather disgruntled to see that they were all from China. I do my best to live China-free, but I do like my fish.
