The Obamagood Thread

LOL NEM. We're likely to go straight from Obama to Hillary who's main difference is being a bit more conservative but she also has way bigger balls so she'll actually do things. Sorry you think he's pig shit following Bush.

Right. Half thinks he sucks.

This is America, the next president who gets and maintains a 60% approval for more than a week or two is the Anti-Christ.

Therein lies the problem......

Hillary ain't getting elected, too much baggage, nobody trusts her. Plus she can't give a speech to save her life!

She's currently got a better chance than anybody else running. There is still no credible threat to her from the Democrats (not that Obama was a credible threat mind you). There really isn't even anybody worth of discussion. So she's getting the nomination. As long as Obama doesn't set the country on fire she could pretty much coast and win.

On the Republican Side they basically have Rick Perry. Romney's not running, Bush hasn't announced yet (though we all expect it and when he does that will be a credible choice as well.) The rest of the clowns are just taking up space but they could end up doing to Perry and Bush the same thing they did to Romney in 2012 and forcing him so far Right that he's unelectable when the shit comes back around.

Plenty of people trust her when all is said and done, last I checked the polls hat her at something like 47% do and 53% don't. That's within the margin of error. I have no reason not to trust her nor does any rational person. All her baggage is old news at this point so that's not really a problem for her either. Still we've got over a year anything could happen.

True. She does have a shot, just like everyone else. I'm better that as a "front runner", there is plently of time to dig up dirt. Bill Clinton is not an asset like most believe, plus the Clinton Foundation is corrupt. Plus her resume as a govt worker, aka Benghazi and Libya....also, she makes a lousy speech and she is a woman....

Absolutely Nothing. Worst President Ever. Fucking Foreigner Who Never Should Have Been On The Ballot. Needs Impeached And Everything He Has Done Needs Reversed. Period.

Nobody really cares about the Clinton Foundation and her resume is splendid. The only case to be made agaisnt her is she's not a governor which historically speaking is a huge case to be made.

She doesn't just have a chance if the Republicans don't make a damn good case she wins and wins easy.

ROFL.

He pisses off dumbfucks like you. America wins.

No the dumb fucks are the ones who think he has remotely done anything good for us. He is a gun grabbing, foreign, jackass. The only ones he has done anything for are the people who have come here illegally that need to be deported. And the lazy fucks on welfare. It was never meant to be away to support yourself or a family long term just for a few months until you got back on your feet. 90% of thise people could be working if they would just get off there asses and do something. When did the american dream go from working hard for what you earn to just getting everything handed to you.

Prince puts on private show at White House

By Ian Mohr and Emily Smith
June 15, 2015 | 12:55am

Prince played two shows in Washington, DC, on Sunday, but he also gave a private VIP performance at the White House on Saturday night to celebrate African-American Music Appreciation Month.

Spies exclusively told Page Six that the “Raspberry Beret” singer brought Stevie Wonder up onstage for a surprise duet at the show for President Barack and Michelle Obama and 500 lucky guests.

Spotted at the exclusive two-hour concert — during which Prince played hits including “Kiss” and “Purple Rain” — were Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson and his date, singer Ciara, artists Jon Bon Jovi and James Taylor, TV & film stars Tyler Perry, Connie Britton, Angela Bassett, Gayle King, Tracee Ellis Ross, fashion designer Naeem Khan and J.Crew’s Jenna Lyons.

Also there: Carlyle’s David Rubenstein, 32 Advisors’ Robert Wolf and American Express’ Ken Chenault, plus DC power players former Attorney General Eric Holder, Education Secretary Arne Duncan and National Security Adviser Susan Rice.

First daughters Sasha and Malia were also at the show, we’re told.

In one showstopping number, Prince introduced Wonder to the stage and the pair sang “Signed, Sealed, Delivered I’m Yours” for grooving guests.

DJ Cassidy took over after the show and spun tunes for the rest of the night.

Prince is currently on his HITnRUN tour, during which he announces venues shortly before playing them.

He played DC’s Warner Theatre on Sunday. After one show there sold out immediately, he added a later 11 p.m. gig the same night at the venue.

The White House had remained tight-lipped about the party, said to have been in the East Room, where Aretha Franklin, Patti LaBelle and John Legend have performed in the past.

We are told guests arrived at 9 p.m. and danced late into the night.

So Neverendingme, now that you are union thug are you proud of being commie slave like Pelosi? You should be, we don't need capatalist Obama no more, we have you. Great prize.

I'm outside of the US & not versed in politics. But I am interested in things since I have relatives/friends there. My sources are also tyt/democracy now.

So - my imp. was that it initially it appeared to be a good thing. Better than what was before - aka no protection for the poor.
- but : in fact, it subtly perpetuates the destabilization of the middle class, since they would be the ones who have to pay for the difference
- and that the acceptable solution would be getting rid of it alltogether (aka universal healthcare like Europe or Australasia), or asking the 1% rich or corporations to pay the difference

What's your view, Irezumi?

That doesn't seem to be the case but numbers having come in just yet. As it stands the majority of the middle class shouldn't be paying much more than they were before. It's an issue of not having a middle class of course. Also this is America, asking the rich or corporations to even pay their workers enough to pay rent and buy food is more than we can ask. We are slaves by another name.

Interestingly, I went to US about 8 years ago (loved it) and then more recently (via crappy LAX).
Huge difference - the changes were absolutely shocking.

But my shock was also shared by other australasians that I travelled with - it's like Europe and US are changing gradually but drastically,
following - what they call it? "the 'corporate coup d'etat in slow motion".
