Quite a rollercoaster to ride. It's far easier to adjust expectations than hopes. I'm trying to tamp both down, but it's a struggle.

Thanks to everyone for their messages of support. A few others have echoed these sentiments, but as Mara articulated the issues the best, I will reply to her message.

I am older than you are, and as a male, far less appealing to most people on Lit. I also tend to post more extreme photos and be more blatant. My Charlie gets lots of exposure. :eek:

I have heard several times that I need to look at "views" instead of "replies". So I have done some analysis of the numbers, looking at my thread, Mara's thread, and Stackey's thread.

Concerning posts (replies):
My thread - 52% of the posts are by visitors (about 1 reply for each of my posts)
Mara's thread - 74% of the posts are by visitors (about 3 replies for each of her posts)
Stackey's thread - 78% of the posts are by visitors (about 4 replies for each of her posts)

Concerning views:
My thread receives on average 28 views per each of my posts
Mara's thread receives on average 98 views per each of her posts
Stackey's thread receives on average 172 views per each of her posts.

Either way I look at this, my thread, my photos, my posts come nowhere near the traffic received by others. It really makes me wonder why I do this.

But I need to get past the grumbling. I have promised some friends that I will not delete this thread as I have to many of my pic threads in the past. I will keep this as a permanent "home base" for people to keep tabs on me. There just may be times when I don't feel like posting new photos. Please bear with me.

I have received a very nice PM of support from a lady that is shy and prefers to not post on other people's thread. I understand that and I thanked her for her message.

I also have a new collaborative project in the early stages of discussion and I am excited about that. It may take some time (weeks) before we can complete that project, but it should be fun for us and for our followers. :)

I was happy to see this murmurmara. :) we just need to have fun here together, post our photos and stories to have fun with each other, whom ever chooses to play with us.

It's a real shame that the American Society is so uptight about sexuality and nudity in the ways it is naturally. Social media has a set standard for what age, size etc is considered sexy, and unfortunately many people are brainwashed into a level of shallowness that reflects what this society has pumped into their brains. I too am guilty of this as I too, choose to use high levels of photographic strategy, (certain poses/clothing) etc that carefully hides areas of my body that I'm not comfortable with. It really is a shame.

Yes, it is a roller-coaster and I need to accept that and just go with the ebb and flow. Also I need to avoid the feeling that I MUST always post. I should post when I have something to post. Sometimes I will have lots of creative ideas and photos, and sometimes I won't. I need to accept that and go with it.

I am very busy with real life this week. Several house guests all week, so I sneak little time slices to get on Lit and do posts like this. Hopefully next week all this craziness will die down and I can work in earnest with my project partner on the kitchen series. Should be a fun project.
