I've got a bladder infection. I've been putting off going to the Dr and yesterday and today it's bad. I peed my pants twice today, NOT good. I can no longer control my bladder, at times.


I got into the Dr, gave a specimen Then I got sent to the hospital, gave another specimen. I guess she wants to know what kind of infection I have. Tomorrow, morning I'll go pick up my antibiotic to get rid of this infection. I forget what it's called.


I can't believe I peed my pants.

The very first moment you even think you're getting a bladder infection, grab a large glass of water and stir in a teaspoon of bicarb and squeeze in a lemon.
Drink while still fizzing.
Repeat hourly for 2 days.
Most times this can head off a full-blown infection. It makes the urine alkaline, which can stop the bacteria that causes the infection from multiplying.

I had my first one and an endoscopy at the same time. The prep was pretty bad, but the drugs were the best I'd ever had. First time I didn't feel any pain at all. They were Versed and Fentanyl. I was also somewhat dehydrated so they may have felt stronger than usual.

Pink, it sounds more like a kidney infection. The hospital lab is probably to do a culture, which could take days. They may start you on something just as a guess before the culture is done though. I had one once and they gave me Keflex which was huge like a horse pill

do you have apple cider vinegar, probiotics and lots of cranberry juice? they make those cranberry pills as well, if you don't want all the sugar contained in the juice. lay off coffee and tea. caffeine will aggravate the symptoms. bread and other wheat products will also prolong misery. i hope you feel better soon. they are no fun. no fun at all.

1: DON'T TELL ME WHAT TO DO I AM VERY EMOTIONAL.

2: When I was little my kidneys kinda stopped working because of something the doctors did, where I was so sick, and I KEPT kidney infections for like 2 years. So if the bladder infections are anything like kidney infections, you need analgesics, which SOUND like porn and look like m&ms and are far less cool than either of those things. And amoxicilin, which is just an antibiotic, and which you might not even need if your immune system wasn't fucked six ways to Sunday like mine was. And you really don't need whatever disgusting old people shit your grandma gives you to drink because I NEVER drank it and I still got better.

omfg i had a few UTIs a few years back and i literally wanted to cry every time i had to pee. anything to do with bladders and kidneys and infections...worst things ever.
