All those little trite-sounding sayings are used because they have a lot of meaning behind them.
"One day at a time", "keep on keeping on", and so forth.
String together some days without the things you want to avoid and it becomes you. Add in some positive changes and there is room for the negative to creep back in as easily.

Good job on studying. Depending on the expense it might be a good idea to just take it. You may do better than you think. If you don't, it will help you know what things you want to study and what things you have down. Like a pretest quiz.
You know yourself. If you think that a low score would discourage you, then keep studying a bit longer. Studying is like athletic training, you want enough so its fresh in your mind, but not so much that you feel the pressure of trying to remember too many things at once. You want to feel fresh and sharp on the day you test. If you have a choice, take it at a time of day that is the most alert for you.

Imma go real soon. Only thing is after that whats next? I don't like to make one move without having a follow up. That's one of the reasons I didn't go yet. Been thinking about what I will do after the GED

Take the certificate down to the local community college and take the admissions test. They will have some sort of an office that will be able to help you. As a father of 3 with no particular visible income you are going to qualify for grant money to go to school. They may be able to suggest internships with a company or some other option. Perhaps they can point you towards vocational school.
Stay away from student loans although I'm sure you could probably get those as well.

I'm really not interested in going to school. I didn't graduate high school for a reason. Me and school don't get along

I would still talk to them...
...they probably can tell you about maybe apprenticeship programs, trde school, training programs.
Even if nothing they have to offer piques your interest, it is good to get out and about and get some mentoring that just wasn't available to you when your life was on hold.

I heard you all the way to Minneapolis this time!
My favorite musicians were in town for a few days, had to listen, help out and hang with. Today it is a getting up late, vegging out day, but tomorrow I work on finishing my and a clients taxes! Also have to make appt with dentist ugh.

I'm good, but I been better. I think a lot already, but I really been thinking a lot lately. Been in the house for the last couple of days, tryna distance myself from the hood hoping I could find out what I wanna do with my life. My babymothers stressing me out, always hated one of them, but now the other one on some bullshit. Had to beat her super tough boyfriend up for cursing at my daughter. My babymother jumped in it and hit me with a radio. So now she could kiss my ass. Stopped taking pills for a couple of days. Slipped yesterday and took some because I was bored. Teachers, the ones that try to show they authority. I hate class, I hate being confined to a desk. I never went to class and when I did the teachers never gave me a reason to stay. I had this one gym teacher who couldn't stand me and vice versa. I really hated that fat old black bitch. She was the only freshmen gym teacher and I was a freshman. The bitch wouldn't let me come to class, she would rip up my work and she use to lie on me. I remember this one time I tried to take my midterms she gave everybody a paper but me. I said Ms Jackson I'm in your class too. The bitch gone tell me the test is for students only not animals. We started arguing I got upset and pushed her and got expelled. After middle school just stopped giving a fuck about school

Sounds like a rough week. I hope your daughter didn't witness this fight. I would also be concerned that this guy is going to take out his frustrations on your daughter.
Stop with the pills already, if you wouldn't want your kids doing it, don't do it.
There is no reason to be bored, start learning stuff. Read things, you can learn a lot by reading. Or listen to historical songs, I can recommend a bunch, and look up everything you don't know.
Do you have a computer or netbook you can use? If so, start learning to code or start learning the things you would have learned in school. It would be self guided and no evil teachers. I can send you links. If you can code really well, people don't care so much about the academics.
I had a pretty horrible middle school myself so I can relate.
Being able to solve things in a non violent way is a good skill to have. Being persuasive using just your words and mind is much more powerful in the long run. Imagine if you could have convinced your baby mama's BF to not only stop cursing at her but also
You have to find your niche, but you need background in a lot of stuff, because even though it may seem unrelated everything kind mixes in to some extent, so the more you can learn the better off you are.
