I would have probably been thrown in jail if I had tried to date my wife when I was a senior in college. We met when we were both barely in our 30s (think about it). Now, eight years doesn't seem that far apart.

Come to think of it, don't most older couples get bored? They should create a procedure to swap brains. All the woman or men that want to have an older head; trade brains with someone who longs for a more young and active mind.

Generally speaking, most men over 40 wind up in relationships with women who have had children, unless the man has lots of money, in which case, the man's age is limited only by his net worth vis a vis the young stuff he is likely to land.

Once you hit 40, regardless of gender, most people mate/relate with those who are alike in terms of have/don't have kids.

I normally like men my age or older, it's because my tastes have evolved as I've aged. I can still get a much younger man, I'm just not into them. I had my time of wild sex and not caring if anything was going on upstairs. My bluebird is the exception at 8 years younger. The biggest problem I see with both men and women within 10 years of my age is mental. They carry too much baggage and damage from previous relationships. Once again, my bluebird is an exception.

I am by no means an authority on how men think, least of all Lance, but I think men who appreciate a woman for more than just (somewhat) easily altered superficial aspects, can find qualities worthy of attraction in any phase of her life. It doesn't necessarly mean he wants to bang them all, but there's still an appreciation.


The men YOU refer to don't look beyond the above mentioned superficial, and I in turn, having established that they are in this category, would find my attraction to them take a nose dive.

I have zero issue accepting that physically, I can't compete with me pre babies. But I guarantee that I've improved with age in areas I would seek to evaluate in my own partnerships.

Women who feel badly about the comparrison are the same ones giving those men the credibility to have the opinions they do. Women need to squash that shit.

When the gf got pregnant she just gained some weight- mostly in her ass and tits, and SHE got pissed about it- like she kept saying, "MY ASS ISN'T PREGNANT" but then when she went back to school she lost most of it. And the only thing that I can think you're referring to is that being pregnant makes you fat. But like... being overweight doesn't automatically mean you'll be unattractive. Just my lil $.02 thoughts/opinions here and realize I'm coming from the 45+ crowd here please...

• Younger women (or men) may have tighter bodies - but then again, so did most of us when we were their age...haha
  
• I would argue Mature woman usually have more beautiful curves, an attractive maturity (and smile) that is very sexy, and appreciates men (and women) finding them attractive more. But do appreciate some of the younger women understanding how beautiful a curvy woman can be and not just shooting to be skinny at all costs.
  
• While lots of my biz clients like going to Breastrants - have to say I don't like them much - mostly because I kinda feel like a old pervert lusting after lil girl - especially one that wasn't even born before I even graduated HS. And while I appreciate their youthful beauty/sexiness (seriously) - just not attracted to them because of our age difference - as I would guesstimate it's the same for them (times 2 or more) towards older guys. Constantly am amazed how clueless dudes can be to being played by younger women sometimes - thinking they actually have a chance with them.

Yeah, I think it's superficial, in a way. But everyone is entitled to their tastes, and everyone has different needs. Some guys love the young women (under 30) exclusively. Some guys love older women (30+).

I think most men are much more flexible in their tastes than women think. I think men in general are attracted to attractive women, and that "attractive" is much broader than we girls realize when we're fretting over what "they" like.

One of the benefits of being an "older" (42) woman is that we (and I'm speaking for myself and other chick friends my age with whom I've had this talk) tend to worry less about what men want from us and more about what we want from them.

Since I turned 40 I had a teeny bit of metabolism showdown, but the changes in workout and diet mean I'm in better shape than I was in my 20s. And I'm way less uptight sexually, way more open, and my body is way more responsive. In fact, sometime around 40 I grew a teenage boy's libido. I think about sex waaay more than I should, and enjoy it waaay more than when I was younger. Yeah, I've got lines when I smile and a weird dry patch on one knee. My 40-something-age friend with two grown kids who looks fantastic was bemoaning certain child-induced wear & tear. But her husband is happy as a clam because she too has the post-40 lets-fuck-all-the-time hormones. A guy I know once told me "mommy bodies have a way about them that's sexy as hell." I doubt he's the only one who thinks so.

I remember when I was in my twenties looking at older women and worrying about how it would be. Turns it out's pretty fucking cool.

There will always be guys who aren't attracted to you because you have big/small boobs, long/short hair, you're too short/tall, too fat/skinny, or too old/young. And there are guys you won't be into for all the same reasons (except the boobs part). Seems kinda pointless to worry about guys who won't like you for reasons you can't change when there are tons of other guys who will adore you for those very same reasons.
