the "ask crazychemgirl a question" thread

Normal pH for seawater off the coast of the Pacific Northwest is around 8.2. When upwelling happens...it drops to 7.2. How much HCl must we dump in the ocean to get an equivalent drop in pH as we are seeing caused by the upwelled water laden in CO2? Lets assume the water volume is limited to 500 miles of coastline (804,672m), out about 20 miles (32186m)...and goes to a depth of 200m. I know that 1 drop of HCl will lower the pH of 100mL of DI water about 4 units. There has to be a conversion page somewhere where you type in volumes and the answer pops up.

want to know the temperature conversion from f to c?

ask crazychemgirl!

want to know the best beer to have with grilled chicken?

ask crazychemgirl!

want to know what sexual position to do tonight?

ask crazychemgirl!

(you get the picture)

My question is how do we get to see you with that blouse open?

Especially when you explode passionately in a girl, only to watch the load just ooze out onto the sheets.

which has been my experience..

when to me the next logical step is to go down on her...some people!

I don't think I've ever had anyone do that

Trust me, I wanted to!! "Ew, no, let me go wash up!"

usually what I do

Well, kudos to you for being into it. You're in my good book!

love matches in my thread.. awww

you'd think ... that seems like a pain in the ass equation to work out.

how? ..well.. there are many answers to that question.. depends on which one you want.

He teases that he wants to get on a plane to come to me.. how do I get him to stop being a tease...and do it?

stop talking to him... that old saying, "you don't know what you got til it's gone" .. is a saying for a reason

Buy him the ticket?

incorrect, sir.

That's not enticement. That's choosing for him.. I want him to choose.. but I want to make it damn near impossible for him to choose anything else.

exactly

exactly

Oh, hey, you're back!

(And "buy him the ticket" is the wrong answer not because it's enticement but because you're a fool if you do.)

Are you the DLP today?

Been perusing posts on a number of threads this evening and noticed a trend......You've posted on a number of them that I'm following......so my question is are you the Designated Lit Poster today?

I'm recalling what steamboy said in ...Steamboy.

"Steam compressed at low temperature and very high pressure draws heat from its surroundings when released."

Is that true or was it just "good drama"?

If it is true, is it also true of any gas?

I think it was just "good drama" ... but I'm way too tired to be answering accurately.

Ehhhhh..... I'm no physicist, but.....

Wouldn't "steam" at low temperature and high pressure be "water"?

not really.... I'm kind of traditional. I like my men to be men.. hairy, rough around the edges, in boxer briefs..

Did you say rough around the edges?
Aye, Pirates' rule:cool:

Have you gone forth and conquered your mighty school work today?

Doesn't do it for me.

It depends on the temp and if the pressure was high enough.. PV=nRT

No... Still working on it. *sad panda*

Lol @ pirates.

First meeting with a woman met here, what kinds of places will she consider "safe"?

Anywhere public..... Starbucks, a bar, a mall... Lots of people.

Do you think there is only one temperature for steam?

I imagine, and that's a pretty wide statement, steam has a varied temperature range and while yes, the lower temperatures are likely to form condensation, but perhaps, and I'm going out on a limb here, high pressure might stop condensation, thus keeping it in a gaseous state. Thereby allowing the water vapor to sublimate from a gas directly into a solid (ice) or perhaps, the high pressure stops any transition at all and allows the gas to remain a gas even below it's freezing point?
