the "ask crazychemgirl a question" thread

Dear Chemgirljamie

What is the difference between dark matter and dark energy?

Cheers

Daniel

dark matter is a hypothetical matter that accounts for the mass of the universe... whereas dark energy is the hypothetical form of energy responsible for the expansion of the universe.

Thank you! Follow up question...hypothetical? Have they not observed (indirectly) dark matter?

A born skeptic is a good thing. Ok....meta question. What question in science would you like to see answered?

wow, that's a big one.

whether or not God exists.... so many wars and laws and deaths are caused because of God and religion... it makes me sad.

well, as you can probably gather already I'm not a believer.. I don't believe in nothing, but I don't believe in God either.

Yes, that I had guessed. Although I am having trouble picturing what is between nothing and god...a kind of godly nothing? :)

well I believe in karma.. and the idea of good and evil.

Is not one man's good another man's evil, or do you believe there are absolutes of good and evil?

Personally I believe that good and evil are just a moral consensus, insomuch as consensus exists.

there are absolutes of good and evil... and in between is a bit of a grey area.

Lets cleanse the pallet

All of the Avengers are available, who do you fuck in order and what do they do to/for you?
