FAWC You, Two!

A couple of questions about the instructions (may have been explained later than the original posting, but that's the one I'm reading).

1. Thought you said this time the stories would be posted to separate categories of choice rather than to Chain Stories and then transferred later. If true you don't give instructions on giving a preferred category.

2. It seems the elements are listed in the wrong order. I would think that the description and tags should follow the title and then the disclaimers (set in italics, I presume?), because the disclaimers go as proslugs to the posted text and the others are put in boxes outside of the text.

I guess this is a hint that I'm done about ready to submit.

I don't know where the idea came from that these stories would go anywhere but Chain Stories. I think that may have been conjecture on someone else's part. The only way we can really keep this on a level playing field would be to post the stories to CS.

The description and tags are listed just to make it easier for me to put them in the required fields. They'll be removed from the body of the text before the stories are submitted.

Hope that clears it up.

Thanks on the category answer. I do think we should try to do something better with category. All three I took out of the Chain Story category and recategorized and resubmitted shot up in both rating and views with the change. Chain Story truly is a backwater as far as readers.

On the other, in your arrangement, you're extracting form fill ins from inside the text (the disclaimers are part of the text), but OK, if you prefer that.

Admittedly, it is, but if the stories were placed in the category of the author's choosing, some would definitely get more views than others. There are pros and cons to anything we decide to do as far as category placement.

We could put this to a vote, I guess. This is a collaborative effort, after all, and everyone should have the chance to weigh in with their opinion.

So keep them in Chain Stories, where readership would be pretty much equal for all the stories, or post them to the best category for the story, with the understanding that some stories will not receive as many views as others?

No need for a messy vote as far as I'm concerned. I'll just send within the instructions given and reconfirmed.

Well, I know that people have their reservations about the stories being posted in CS. I certainly do. And I want to be democratic about this. It wouldn't really be any more work for me to change what category the stories post in.

You're right that different categories would change the views and votes of competing stories. So in that sense, I see that one category might be a good thing. That said, I don't like chain stories either so maybe the next time we can have a particular category as one of the elements of the challenge itself?

I think I made this suggestion following the first FAWC, but I agree with Damp. I think it would be interesting to take over a category (so to speak) for a contest. I vote for LW, it'll drive them crazy! LMAO!

Yeah why not, I have a couple of femdom pieces that would leave them frothing.

But the chain thing doesn't bother me, even if it is lit's "backwater" the point of the contest is an equal anon playing field and CS is about as even as you can get.

That could be... fun

On the plus side of putting it there you can write just about any type of scene. so long as it involves soem sort of LW swapping.

The big question then would be do we reverse the winning score, the lowest with the most scathing comments wins?

or keep it highest but give a special award for worst comment.

as far as Fawc 2 goes chain is fine. who knows maybe we can even bring the readership up with these contests

What's the deal?

What's the deal with the LW crowd? I see a lot of references to them, but I don't know what you mean.

LOL, put on your armor and post there, you'll see!

It's an interest group, divided into a couple factions who each prefer their stories one way or another. End result? You can never please the most vocal groups. It's the very definition of bi-polar!

They're passionate and partisan; their comments are over the top, good and bad. Lotsa AH posters go there to flex their fake muscles.

Bunch of loser guys who've been screwed over(if in some cases they have ever been screwed at all) who spew hatred towards women and enjoy reading of ways of torturing them.

They also rail away at the wimpy cuckolded husbands, but in reality probably are them.

No story can make one faction happy without pissing off another.

But as long as you're not thin skinned the comments are so vile and stupid they actually have their own charm.

Which was why FAWC 1 went to Chain Stories. Well, that, and an official word from Laurel.

That could definitely be interesting, especially Loving Wives. I hadn't planned on doing FAWC 3 until after the Halloween contest, and only had a tentative idea for it. But FAWCking some wives has an allure . . . :p

I had my new LW story hit today. I had some asshat tell me he hoped I was a teenager, and that I should commit suicide because he/she (anonymouse is either sex) embarrassed for me.

Can I just say...

...that my two favorite words are asshat and fucktard?

Holy cow. LW is a rough crowd.

I just figure that the more nastygrams you get, the better you did.

(I teach high school. If I can make 5% of students, parents, and administrators happy at one time, I consider it a good day.)

That's a riot.

If Literotica is a city, then LW is the shady part of town where you don't go after 10. Or before 10, if case infidelity is on your mind.

"Enter At Own Risk."

Finished. :D

It's funny; it occurred to me as I was writing the last couple of thousand words of this story that I could have had a couple more ingredients from the basket that I managed to incorporate. That happened completely by accident, but I find it ironic that I managed to work in a couple of other would-be ingredients even as I struggled to justify the inclusion of an official one.

But I think I did alright. This one didn't feel quite as disjointed as the first one.

So that's three official finished stories, considering the two I've already received via email.

One week left, peeps. ;)

Hmm . . . now I wonder if I can pull off another . . . .

finished mine tonight but still a lot of editing to do on it and now I'm rushed. Being sent out of town saturday for one day then working sunday till three, then leaving to go out of town at around 6:00. Wont be back till thursday night. Tomorrows going to be a ton of running around to pick up and get this and that.

Oh well I will get it done who needs sleep. :D

Exactly. You're an artist. If the world won't torture you, torture yourself. ;)

I had my new LW story hit today. I had some asshat tell me he hoped I was a teenager, and that I should commit suicide because he/she (anonymouse is either sex) embarrassed for me.

After my one LW entry I was threatened three times via e-mail. He assumed I was female because he said he was going to rape me and show me my place. Said he was only an hour away in Mass and I should be afraid.

I ignored the first two(he did leave an e-mail) and the third was him sending a two paragraph long detailed description of what he ws going to do to "me" as a female of course.

I e-mailed back told him I knew Boston like the back of my hand and told him name his place, but be aware I am male and I sent him a pic.

Nothing since.

The majority of them are just dumb asses, but some of the comments are down right disturbing and I really think to a degree unstable.

In comparison although many consider incest a sick category the comments are pretty happy go lucky. Give them their kink and they love you for it.

I sense a lot of LW fans have been bullied in their day.

Just a friendly reminder: please make sure your stories, when sent to me, are formatted as described in the first post. Please make sure story tags and a description are both included. If I have to guess at a description, it won't be brilliant. :p

Thanks. ;)
